I like the idea of Goku and Vegeta punching each other to death when they're old.
I can't think of any other way that's more in-character for them to go out.
Certainly not that GT garbage.
...I actually wish Golden Great Ape Goku and and Baby Vegeta were in Xenoverse's GT Pack 1.
I mean. Neo Ginyu Force is probably one of the best things to come out of GT and it wasn't even in GT. Thanks Xenoverse.

That ending was trippy, but what was wrong with it?
While I'm not crazy about GT... old men punching each other isn't my cup of tea. I kind of hope they stopped fighting at some point.
I like the scene, I just don't get why Master Roshi of all people had to say it, the guy who hasn't been fighting or sensed a bigger power level since, what, the Android Saga?
Even if that's not the case, Roshi wasn't around to see the fight between Goku and Beerus. We know Goku didn't land any hits, but Roshi doesn't. Unless King Kai told everyone beforehand, but no one seemed to be afraid of Beerus, so I doubt that.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!GT ended on a fucking to be continued.
Then there was that A Hero's Legacy thingy with Goku Jr. and stuff.
I mean, first off, kinda annoyed at Goku just sorta abandoning his family and friends again.
...All the flashback montage stuff felt kinda forced. And made me wish I was watching those instead of GT.

So did Dragonball. And Z, technically.
Dragonball: Goku and Chi Chi ride off on the Nimbus Cloud, Baba looks into the crystal ball and sees their future, but oops, no spoilers!
Dragonball Z: Goku abandons his family to train a boy he just met... if Uub's parents had been in that crowd, then they literally just watched some grown man abduct their son without any warning, flying off to parts unknown.
Dragonball GT: Goku suddenly has to leave Earth with the magic dragon, abandoning his family for x years, and returning as a spirit of some sort.
It's just the last one was ridiculously unfulfilling. And in the last two cases, they ended it by introducing a completely new element - a villain gets reincarnated ebcause Goku made a request, and then Goku leaving with Shenron BS.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!As a matter of fact, I did.
I just want to point out the hilarious difference in tone, and in what the narrators say. In the English version, the narrator's all like "this is totally not the end, gaise! And the Adventure Continues!" while the Latin narrator makes it pretty damn clear that this is the end, and that Goku isn't out there somewhere waiting to come out if he's needed again - he's gone.
I suppose the inferior music is a result of not having Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku.

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariOh.
...Dammit, your version is better.
Still, I think I'd have preferred Goku being an adult and just living on Earth with his family.
He and Vegeta are warriors, and they'd rather die in battle than anything, so.
It's not like it doesn't make sense character wise.
And everyone else is old too, so either Chichi and Bulma are dead of old age already, or will be soon enough.
It's more pleasant to listen to.
I mean, I actually like rap as a style of music.
But the GT theme in the west was.
No.
Just. Just no.
...Wasn't the big problem with Online mostly that not enough people were playing it and it wasn't making enough money? And they were having problems with getting it out in other regions?
Why would that affect the direction Toriyama wants the story to go necessarily?
It's not like anyone that managed to play it disliked it, as far as I know.

As far as I know, Goku died just before using the Spirit Bomb, and he got back up on sheer willpower to finish the fight, and then left with Shenron, presumably merging with him.
That's one hell of a way to go.
@Soble
That's not the Japanese Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku. It's the Latin version.

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariThe 'Grand Tour Rap' might actually be one of the reasons why GT did as poorly as it did in North America.
GT is actually remembered pretty fondly in Argentina, at least, and most of Latin America seems to share the opinion as well.
Even I, who acknowledges that it really wasn't good, like it.
The version I saw was thus:
Goku is hit. Everyone presumes him dead. Remember, they can feel ki, and yet they assumed he was dead, which leads me to assume he is dead.
Then Goku comes out of the hole with a giant freaking Spirit Bomb. People start contributing to it. Goku contacts King Kai, and tells him "Hey, this shit ain't enough, need more", and King Kai goes "You got it", cue montage.
Also, all through this, Goku is shrugging off all of Omega Shenron's attacks. Attacks which would've severely injured him as SSJ 4, killed him if he tanked them as a SSJ 3, let alone in base.
Then he throws it, it hits, kills Omega Shenron and then Goku has a talk with Shenron, whereupon they pretty much agree that overuse of the Dragonballs was the cause and that they really shouldn't be used anymore to prevent another Omega Shenron from appearing.
Goku negotiates with Shenron one last wish to return things to how they should be, and the Dragon Balls merge with his body, except the Four Star Dragon Ball, while he rides off with Shenron.

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimari...I mean, I know there are actual rappers who really really liked Dragon Ball and have rapped about it. And rap, like all music and art, is a form of expression and yadda yadda, so I'm not going to say that doing a rap about Dragon Ball or anything somebody is passionate about is inherently a bad idea.
...But goddamn that theme tune is awful and sounds so incredibly forced.
@unnoun
I know at least one DragonBall Rap
that people like.
90% of the lyrics are the characters' names, and the other 10% is talking about things that happened. There's also a joke about the song coming after the Tetris song, and talking about how people who didn't follow this series had no childhood.
It's also in Spanish Spanish, a dub which is usually despised by Latin speakers, but the song itself is beloved by most fans.

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimari

If Xenoverse and Online are canon, that is.
It's Xenoverse: The Special! Starring everyone's own Original Character!
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!
