I would rather have a dead neglectful father than a live abusive one.

The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!I have no idea where that rumour started from, but I don't think it has a factual basis.
...people need to really be careful where they get their information from.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!Vegeta doesn't seem to be abusive to his family.
I mean, he was to Future Trunks, but. Not to Bulma or present Trunks.
He sparred with Present Trunks but most of the time he didn't seem to hit back with that much force. One time he did, when he wasn't watching his self control as much as he should have been, and Trunks was surprised, as was Vegeta, making it seem like it wasn't a regular occurrence.
And Trunks immediately brightened up at the thought of going to the park, making it somewhat questionable exactly how badly he was hurt to begin with.
EDIT: I dunno how they could have gotten to New Namek to bring Goku back without the only teleporter they know.

...I don't think Vegeta was ever malicious to Bulma in the Cell Saga.
The only time I remember him interacting in any capacity with her is when she talked about Gero's lab, and when he sort of just sat in the room while she fixed Android 16.
Didn't say anything. Didn't get in the way. He was just there.

It honestly seemed like he was bored and. Well. Lonely.
Like, not even in a sexual sense, but in a being around other people sense. He would rather just sit in a chair while people fix a robot than be by himself.
It's one of the few panels in the manga where Vegeta doesn't seem like he's trying to be the center of attention. It's kinda weird.
Especially at that point in his character arc.

Online seems to be where Toriyama wants Dragonball to head towards, but I don't know if it's canon. Xenoverse is more like a fun series of What If? stories.
Particularly because the adaptations of the sagas were not... improving anymore.
Battle of Z and Ultimate Tenkaichi just did them terribly. What they should have done is take a hint from the Budokai and Budokai Tenkaichi games, which actually had alternate paths. I mean, yeah, they were short... but make them longer. Make a real alternate story based on winning a fight you shouldn't be able to win like in Budokai Tenkaichi 2. That was fun.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariSupersonic Warriors had something along those lines, though some of them stretched believability a bit (Krillin trains for like a day with Goku in the afterlife, and is then capable of incinerating Buu with a Kamehameha), but others were clever (Piccolo fights Buu by fusing with a revived Demon King Piccolo, and then traps Buu with the Mafuba), and some were hilarious (Gero's story is about how much he sucks)
I have a message from another time...

And what's amazing, in a sense, is that the way Vegeta treated Future Trunks and Bulma at first (and the way Goku treats his family) is basically the norm for Saiyans. Bulma, Trunks, and Bra are really lucky that Future Trunks got killed.
