Yes!
He must never know...
Okay, I'll stop now.
I hope they actually come up with original villains this time. Beerus and Whis were great. I don't want this series to just be a retreat of Dragon Ball's most popular moments.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!I would have been excited to see where Dragon Ball went before they introduced a cat that can destroy galaxies and rapidly obsoleted four recent power ups:super sayain 3, fusion, Elder Kai power up, super saiyan god, the last of which didn't even get time to run their course on.
I suppose it could just ignore the movies and go straight from the end of the manga but even then, I don't have any faith in TOEI Animation, the makers of Dragon Ball GT who had these movies get all out of hand with the serial escalation, to do it any justice.
They've made good movies ranging from okay(Dead Zone, Tree of Might, Cooler's Revenge, Bojack unbound, Fusion Reborn) to good(World's Strongest, The GT movie) but the show was basically a series of inaction sequences outside of the mirror ship filler, the false Namek filler and the other world tournament filler, and the latter still had it's share of obvious stalling.

Are you badmouthing Beerus? Do you want to rethink your opinion?
A death cat that looks like a normal cat (normal, not Korrin style) would be pretty funny.
One Strip! One Strip!![]()
You really need to watch Battle of Gods. It is the best.
Beerus's design is just so unconventional, I love it! People spend too much time working out whether a design is 'badass' enough to be popular, but I don't think Toriyama gives a crap about it.
Sure, him being even stronger than everyone was a bit of a pain, but at least he wasn't generic 'cackling villain'. Or Anime Hulk (Broly). He was a villain, but he had personality. It was something the series needed.
And the whole Inaction Sequence thing plagues most shonen anime. Not just Dragon Ball.

The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!Yeah, I love Beerus' design. Hairless animals as a whole are rarely seen and the use of Ancient Egyptian-esque attire is equally rare in popular works. Combine that with his awesome personality (he is truly the best) and the fact that he doesn't look all that imposing compared to past villains but manages to be even more so for nonstop win.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I wouldn't say Lord Beer is the best.
I kinda like him, I admit, 'cause his attitude makes sense. Everyone around him except Whis is practically an inconsequential ant. So it makes perfect sense that he sees nothing wrong with destroying them. Coupled with that literally being his job, well, it actually winds up making his personality very sensible, and of course, it matches his design as a cat. Because cats are assholes.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariLord Beerus is the best and anyone who says otherwise is clearly wrong.
Even if you're comparing him to Whis, you're still wrong because comparing Whis to anyone, regardless of the scale, is fundamentally wrong.
