Weekly Shonen Jump. That's as official as battle powers get outside of the manga and the Daizenshuu.
◊
I'd say it's more official than the Daizenshu considering Shonen Jump is a magazine Toriyama wrote for.
I mean, the introduction for the Daizenshuu by Toriyama says that Toriyama couldn't remember most of those details, and could never have remembered those details himself, and that the staff that wrote the Daizenshuu books are great for being able to piece all of it together.
But: the thing with fiction is that it's fiction. No story setting has rules but that which are in the author's mind. There's no such thing as atheistic fiction. There's always a god.
The daizenshuus do a good job at piecing stuff together but Toriyama could write a thing next week that would throw them all out the window. They're very much a self-defeating sort of thing.
When I first saw that moment, I was very shocked because while Chi-Chi was always mean to Goku, I would never think she would act like that. While I do agree with the criticism Chi-chi gets for that moment, people use it to define her whole character, despite this never happening again. Had Chi-chi done this many times, the backlash would be justified.
This is just like the whole "Goku giving Cell a senzu bean" incident defining Goku's character when it comes to debates on whether he's a good hero or not.
THANK YOU! That's what I've been saying.
Nobody has responded to my comment on Gohan's Wimpification comment yet? I mean, I don't like the treatment that Gohan gets because he's my favorite male character. I mean, Gohan doesn't need to be weak to make Goku and Vegeta stronger, that's bad logic and writing.
Not really, considering he murders his crippled friend for being crippled, tries to destroy the Earth when he doesn't get his way, sadistically tortures Goku, slaughters innocent people on Namek, and still fully intended to murder Gohan and Krillin when they no longer suited his needs.
My various fanfics.![]()
Not for a like of trying, mind you.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I think Vegeta was a good representation of how humans should act. Quickly now! Renounce your former ways and embrace the actions of our Lord, The Prince of the Saiyans, Vegeta! Or something inspiring that makes everyone want to listen to me!
What started out as a pleasant afternoon of drugs and surgery has not gone as planned.Vegeta also attempted to blow up the Earth with his Galick Gun despite the fact that Vegeta was presently on Earth at the time. Unlike Frieza, he would not survive the vacuum of space. This was his B Plan. The Oozaru was his C Plan.
So pointlessly Stupid Evil was Vegeta that he would rather commit suicide to kill Goku's planet out of spite than fall back on a racial ability Saiyans use all the time for this exact purpose.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Though for the record, if Goku was killed by it, wouldn't it still destroy the earth.
Then again, he pulled the same trick years later with Cell, and he showed he did know what he was doing in that instance.
One Strip! One Strip! So what is Whis, anyway? He's clearly beyond the Kais/Shin-jins. Is he some kind of abstract universal constant, like in Cosmic Marvel?

The same article that said Yajirobe reached 900+ also said Popo was stronger than Kami, which I also don't think is right, but I could be mistaken.
