Freeza's race is never said to reproduce asexually. Their reproduction isn't detailed at all.
Majins in DBO were born from Mr Boo splitting, like he did with the Gray Boo originally. This created Miss Boo. Mr Boo and Miss Boo were able to create a child together by tearing off and combining parts of their body before bringing it to life with "Love-Love Beam". So they had two methods of reproducing.
This is what also brought the Majin race's power level down to that of humans and Namekians, because it was the original Boo's power spread thin across the race.

Actually actually, in this case it would still be hermaphrodite. The original "Hermaphroditus" of Greek mythology, and source of the term, was a literal fusion between a man and a woman, just like the Old Kai, whereas "intersex" refers to a person born with atypical sex traits drawing from both genders.
While it's fallen out of use in regard to humans, the term hermaphrodite is also still used biologically for plants and animals that are naturally both sexes, like certain slugs and many trees, but that's beside the point.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I only just saw the full 'Vow of Z' music video, and now I'm like, "DBZ dance battle? Hell yes!"
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby! That tends to happen.
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheySo you guys were talking about King Kai's name last page. Allow me to clear things up.
First, his Japanese name isn't Kaio. You have a few ways to write it in the Latin alphabet but that isn't one of them. You have my preferred Kaiou, the possibly more common Kaiō, the somewhat less common Kaioh, and the rather rare (from what I've seen) Kaiow. Kaio would mean something completely different.
Now, King Kai's name, as written in kanji, is 界王. 界 (カイ, Kai) means "world" while 王 (オウ, ou) means "king" or "rule". As such, "World King" or "King of the Worlds" is accurate and the translators likely went with "King Kai" because it likely sounds a bit more like a name to English speakers.
As for Demon King Piccolo, the same thing is going on. It's Piccolo Daimaou or any of the other variations. Breaking down the kanji (大魔王), 大 (だい, dai) means "large, big", 魔 (マ, ma) means "witch, demon, evil spirit", and 王 means the same thing.
For the record, depending on the kanji used, "kaio" could mean world thong, world tail (like an animal, kite, or comet), or small world (or maybe world small).

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! This is one of those times in which I am glad I speak Latin Spanish.
Because to me, he's always been "Kaio-sama", and unlike English speakers, I have no trouble pronouncing 'Kaio'. Or Sama, for that matter.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariKaiō-sama is how I read it, I just don't have a key on my keyboard for that o with the line over it.

Who is this World Thong of which you speak?
Also, it really isn't that hard to pronounce it.
I don't know how to make the character either which is why I just spell it Kaiou-sama. After all, if you were to write his name in hiragana, those are the very characters you'd have to hit.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I personally have no real clue, though I'll say that I doubt Toriyama planned that out when he started, simply because I don't think he plans all that far ahead.
The one thing I know for sure that he did plan on was Gohan taking Goku's place as the hero, and that idea crashed and burned completely.
One Strip! One Strip!fun fact: "Maou" is so common as a name for bad guys and as a character archetype it's become a generic term for JRPG antagonists. to give you an idea that's what Magus was originally called in Chrono Trigger (another thing toriyama was involved with), they re-translated it in the DS version as "Fiendlord".

Goku was originally intended to be an Expy of Sun Wukong, the Monkey King. Dragon Ball began as a parody of Journey to the West.
That's also why his family name is Son.

So what gender is Old Kai? Female? Male? Both?! What's that called again?
What started out as a pleasant afternoon of drugs and surgery has not gone as planned.
