The new anime is set before the 28th Tenkaichi Budokai. Pan's still too young to do anything other than be adorable.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I'm just trying to wrap my head about this. I mean, they KNEW about this. They all knew about this. Probably for YEARS!
It makes me wonder...did they put any hints towards the new series in the movies?
Like, I know this is a stretch, but what if, say, they made Gohan job in RF so he could be 'redeemed' in the new series?

The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!Your hopes shall be eaten by the remorseless devourer that is Toei Animation, pooped out and then the poop shall be fashioned into a fork with which they will poke your eyes out.
...
Because they're jerks like that.

what I had instead. Your call which one's better.
In something semi-related, the Latin American cover of Cha-La Head Cha-La is pretty damn good as far as sound goes.
It's a shame. If FU Nimation had done DBZ nowadays from the beginning, they probably would have made an english version of Cha-La-Head-Cha-La. That would have been really cool.

I don't care as much that they removed Ultimate Gohan in RF.
I mean, my problem with Ultimate Gohan in the first place is it makes his character essentially static. He can't get any stronger. How could he, if his entire potential has been unlocked? Making him get even stronger than his 'true potential' seems really, really stupid.
But if they've removed it...he actually could catch up. It's unlikely, but it could happen. They have an excuse.

Just because he no longer has the access to his full potential doesn't mean it has changed. Ultimate Gohan is still as strong as Gohan could get.
That's not how potential works in Dragon Ball. Goku had "every part" of his potential drawn out when he was 15 years old.
Vegeta had his potential drawn out "beyond his limits" by Babidi - the exact same term used to describe what Old Kaioshin's magic does.
There's absolutely no evidence that Gohan can never get stronger than that point. Hell, even if that was as strong as Gohan could get on his own, just slap some God power on top.
The God power up was so extreme they could basically make anyone relevant by deifying them.
Gohan got shafted badly, so maybe the new dbz show will focus on him ? DBZ built him up as Goku's successor after all, and he did became much stronger than his dad at the end of the manga, at least until Bills and Whis came in.
He do deserve a God power-up, i could say that it ruin the originality of the SSJG but SSJ was just as legendary before its introduction and every saiyan in the series has it now

"compare it to human anatomy" only very rarely works for cartoon people anyway.
I have a message from another time...
