Not surprised.
You know Toriyama and those females after all.
He just doesn't bother with them at all. Or if he does, they eventually stop being important.
One Strip! One Strip! Finally finished Dragon Ball Z Kai. I loved how Episode 97 ended. It honestly felt like it would have been a good place to end the series.
I could watch the next part of Kai in Japanese but I cannot stand Goku's seiyuu.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I still find it ironic that Goku, the guy who is hyped up as this big symbol of masculinity, is voiced by a woman.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!Well yeah. Goku is played by a very, very old woman.
Who's also Dukemon whenever he appears in the Digimon series.

And yet it's still unmistakably a woman's voice. Or a child's. Either way, seriously, they should've had his balls drop. I'm not saying he should sound like James Earl Jones, but I shouldn't be able to tell it's a woman doing it.

Respectfully, I disagree.
Everyone should sound like James Earl Jones.

PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyI thought Naruto's dub voice was fine except every now and then there'd be an episode where his voice is just awful. The only example I can think of right now is the episode where Yamato explains Elemental Rock–Paper–Scissors to Naruto.
I was thinking about whether a live-action DBZ movie could work and, if so, how, and it made me realise something. I think Cell could work quite well for a live-action movie villain. He has 3 forms, which could correspond to a 3-act structure quite well. His main goal at the beginning is basically the same as the heroes - to get stronger. Plus, his desire for perfection and egotism is sort of reminding me of Ultron. (I haven't actually read Marvel comics - it's just Ultron's personality from the movies makes me think of Cell). And if Avengers 2 is good...it could give us a good formula for that kind of villain.
Of course, you'd need to rewrite the entire saga, and Act 3 (Perfect Cell) is very long compared to what happens in early Cell Saga. But it COULD work as an Avengers-style movie, as long as we have enough context.
I was thinking they could try and protect the Androids, and when Cell absorbs 17, they bring 18 to their base, where Vegeta is sort of on guard duty. And Cell sneaks in and tricks Vegeta into letting him absorb 18 through the same ways as the original.
...so, yeah. There'd be a lot of changes. And people would probably cry Ruined FOREVER. But it COULD work.

To be honest, I wouldn't mind if they do change, after all, Dragon ball isn't the most original thing, even back then, it WAS a (I would say comedic) retelling of Journey To The West. And then, in Z, you have aliens, space dictators, Cyborgs, Genetic Insect, etc...
Hell, doing a trilogy (or quadrilogy) of movies would be interesting: Maybe skip Namek (to make Freezer come on Earth), skip C-17 and C-18 (or at least not make them ennemies), and IDK for the rest.
The main thing about Dragon ball Evolution (besides the references to Transformers, Avatar, etc... and plot holes and the rest) is mostly how it doesn't get what Dragon ball was: For example, putting Son goku in a school is not only cliché, but misses the point of Dragon ball: It's a quest to see how big the world is, etc... (I'm not here to rant about DBE)
I'm not crazy, just creatively different.

@unnoun: Clearly Frieza's Race reproduce asexually.
That or a weird genderbending phase happens to half of them.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.
