Despite my dad being a native Mexican, he did not teach me Spanish. That's the best I could do from memory. tongue

Spanish is an assy language to learn. I don't recommend it. The pronounciation rules, for the most part, aren't as ridiculous as those of English and spoken Spanish isn't that big a deal. The problem is written Spanish, which...

Well. Let me put it this way. I'm a native Spanish speaker, who's been writing and reading in Spanish all his life. I've never had a formal class in English. My written English is significantly better than my written Spanish. I shit you not. Spanish has a ton of rules, and with each of those comes a ton of exceptions. Then there's learning how to use ´, which seems to be wholly arbitrary...

It's these times in which I wish my stupid ancestors hadn't driven off the English when they came to conquer. Sure, we would've been a colony and probably treated in a shitty way, but hey, at least we'd speak English natively and I wouldn't have to learn Spanish. I could learn something more useful. Like French. Or Japanese.

I've always been terrible with Spanish. French wasn't much better. Japanese has been going pretty well and sticking.

Romantic languages should prove more difficult for a native English speaker than another Germanic language like, say, Ancient Belkan.

I'd appreciate the Romantic languages more if they didn't arbitrarily assign genders to every inanimate object and incorporeal concept.

Anyway, the Plank video is hilarious.

So would Dragon Ball be appropriate for a small child to watch? Like anywhere from 1 to 4 years old? I'm just sick to death of Blues Clues and all these other crappy kids shows.

[down] I don't care if they can follow or understand it, I just need something to put on so I can like go make food or something. But the whole molestation thing might be a problem, I don't want that to be an issue.

Watch your fucking mouth about Blues Clues.

I dunno, I don't think that a kid that small is old enough to really process what they're watching.

Plus

Y'know

the molestation.

It's fine. At that age no 1-4 year old will register anything.

I have a message from another time...

I mean.

I hear it's actually not recommended for very young kids, like, less than a year old, maybe toddlers and 3 year olds to watch TV at all because their brains can't quite process the images and colors yet.

They haven't even got the object permanence thing down yet. If you cover your face with your hands they will actually think you have disappeared.

And because of the way kids learn through imitation.

I know that the whole "violence in media" thing gets overblown by a lot of people and I think it's ridiculous, because media doesn't "cause" anything, it more "reinforces". Like a vicious cycle.

And the solution isn't to ban media of any kind or to say it can't be made.

I mean, I think it's important to criticize and think about media, but. To consider the ways violence is used and what that says about us and whether we should change some of it.

But.

Equally, there are some studies that indicate there are some age groups where certain kinds of media can have more of an impact because their brains are at a stage where certain stimulus might be interpreted. Differently.

So.

I mean, bear in mind that I grew up watching a lot of TV. But.

Instead of editing my post i'll just make a new one.

I personally don't see much that could be an issue but i'm the same guy that thought Invader Zim would be a good show to put on.

So long as it's not like Family Guy I typically am cool with whatever a kid wants to watch, but after Invader Zim, I question if i'm the right person to judge appropriate television.

[up] The peek a boo thing doesn't work anymore. Tried it and the look I got in return was "The fuck is wrong with you?"

Xenoverse DLC Pack 2 is out on PS 3.

The Playstation Store has a tendency to update later in the day.

I don't know who said that it updates at 10 or 11. Do you know what timezone that was meant to be?

Because it's usually, like, 5 or 6 PM EST.

Of course, that's the North American Playstation Store. Dunno about other regions.

I know that in North America, the Playstation store only and always updates on Tuesdays.

So my faith in that link from Saiyan Island isn't very high.

So is there only the Shenron fight and the fight with the 17, Baby, and Omega for the new missions? I hope not because those were easy. Got the DLC 15 minutes ago and like 13 of it was spent trying to get the new outfits and skills. I hope there's more that I just haven't like unlocked or something yet because this DLC is so far a huge rip off.

[up] They molested the minds of children!

So it's cool for kids, good to know.

I'm now wondering just how bad S Ko T's cooking really is. Doesn't Goku sometimes mention that she cooks for him? I think the only thing he mentions is that Chi-Chi is the better cook.

You know, the last person I'd expect to hear complaining about food is Future Trunks. You know. The guy who lived most of his life in a post apocalyptic world, where food probably tastes like shit as a norm.

Is Mrs. Briefs still alive?

Because I could have sworn cooking wasn't something Bulma was very good at.

Future Gohan might have been a good cook before he lost his arm.

[up][up] We don't know how long he's been a Time Patroller so he may have gotten used to good food by then. There's also the two years he spent in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber where the food was likely better than whatever he had in his own time.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!

So if Future Trunks thinks it's bad compared to the Post-Apocalyptic Cuisine that he probably had to eat than I am so glad games don't have like interactive taste or something.

I still love how happy my Saiyan looked when S Ko T first mentioned food.
