Yep.
Goku acknowledges that this Piccolo isn't as evil as Piccolo Daimao, but he is still Daimao - as Piccolo himself boasts during the Tenkaichi Budokai.
I headcanon that reincarnating as a new entity allowed him to sprout a capacity for compassion that he didn't originally have. He's still a bastard because he's the physical embodiment of evil reincarnated, but he can learn.
To put it simply
- Nameless Namekian - 1 part Good, 1 part Evil.
- God - 1 part Good.
- Piccolo Daimao - 1 part Evil.
- Piccolo Jr. - 2 parts Evil, 1 part Good.
Or in another way, 100% of his Nurture going into his reincarnation was Physical Embodiment of Evil, but his Nature has had its full three-dimensional moral compass restored.
Honestly, I don't know why this is a topic that's hotly debated; if he wasn't Daimao's reincarnation, God would have died the moment Goku impaled him on his body. God's continued existence is irrefutable evidence that Daimao is still around. Or, to quote Abridged Popo,
- GOD: I think Piccolo may have been slain.
- POPO: I think you would know if he were! Are you still there?
- GOD: Yes.
- POPO: Then he ain't dead, is he, drama queen?

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I love how Kami just disappears when Piccolo dies, instead of dropping dead.
Incidentally, I'd like to point out that Dragon Ball Heroes is intentionally crazy and absurd, much like how AF was unintentionally crazy and absurd.

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariSo here
is an interesting list of everyone's power levels throughout the Freeza Saga.
What do you guys think?
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! There's apparently some sort of video game that lets you see post-Frieza character's PLs, but I dunno how official it is. This thing
.
It says Buu, Broly, and all the GT villain break a billion, for starters.

So GT kinda-sorta predicted Revival F

Its like Goku is enforcing the fact that he's the Spotlight-Stealing Squad and refuses to share it.
GT Vegeta is best Vegeta.
There's no reason for him to get taken out by Nuova, though, since Nuova and SS 4 Goku are even.
My various fanfics.IIRC, Vegeta only pretended to get his ass kicked there, so Goku and Nuova Shenron could set up a surprise attack on Omega (which he realized because Nuova hit him very softly).
Also, he'd already had the shit kicked out of him by Omega at that point.
(By the by, the trope should totally be Vegeta In Leather Pants, bet the fangirls are loving those...)

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariSo some people over on the Fridge page for Battle of Gods seem to think that zenkai is a part of the explanation for how Vegeta managed to temporarily surpass Goku and how Goku managed to hold his own against Beerus after loosing Super Saiyan God.
Except I'm pretty sure they both exhausted their ability to do that on Namek since I don't recall it happening after that (other than Cell's power up) and zenkai is usually fairly minor boost (with Goku's 33x zenkai being an outlier).
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I seem to recall Saiga or Tobias going on about them exhausting their body's ability to do zenkai.
Even if I'm wrong, those still aren't examples of Fridge Brilliance.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Goku almost died in his first fight with him. Pretty sure that counts. As for Vegeta, the troper was referring to his fight with Kid Buu.
Looking at the Fridge page for the anime, I'm seeing some where the "brilliance" comes from filler.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Trying to fit in Zenkai to anyone above Super Saiyan level is just going to go nowhere. Let's put it this way, if Goku's technique of nearly killing himself and then eating a Senzu to abuse the Zenkai boost was going to work again, they would have tried it.
It worked on Cell because...I dunno.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby! They would have? Logical as it would have been, Goku seems like the type to prefer training over getting his ass nearly killed over and over for free boosts, as does Vegeta under most circumstances. Among other reasons, to hone skill along with power.
Plus, how many near-death experiences would it have taken to meta-game like that and get to the desired level, and given the erratic nature of Zenkais, could they have put an estimate to it? How many beans would they have needed to use?
