Well, the Big Bad of the first series was Apocalymon.
Who is, um, aptly named.

I have a message from another time...This is apparently due to one of the Japan-only video games, which supposedly features a multiversal Deus est Machina and a Final Boss that can cause Big Bangs and Crunches at will. Never played it though.

Much like 17, I am perfectly secure.

18's top has the same stats as 16's top, but I just went with it because it's funny. That said... I think it might fit better than 16's top anyway. 16's armor is just too distinct for me to feel right wearing it.
edit: Oh my god Blue Hurricane is broken. It's actually easier for me to do PQs alone so that all the enemies rush me and get OHKO'd by Blue Hurricane.

Sphere of Destruction works similarly. Everything rushes right in front of me and dies.
Incidentally, Digimon is an universe that, much like Saint Seiya, suffers from a lot of Informed Ability. Most manga will tell you "Oh, yeah, they're totally moving at light speed and every single one of those shots they're firing could destroy the world if they're not careful"... But they don't actually show you the movement at light speed or the insane power of the blasts flying around.
Despite everything else, DBZ did show you what those blasts did once they ran unchecked. We knew that Goku using the Kamehameha with Kaioken Times 4 actually dealt a ridiculous amount of damage to the landscape around him, because we saw it, and it flew upwards. The anime padding actually helps a lot with this, as it gives you a real feeling of the characters' power, like when Goku goes SSJ 3, where it shows you five minutes of his power just wrecking the planet, or Cell causing worldwide natural disasters when he powers up.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariThat's just a fundamental problem with Flash Step that is better overlooked.
This is what would actually happened if someone moved the speed of light in the atmosphere.
Actually, you can show fast movement with sequential art.
However, most of the time, it's just "Move faster than the opponent".
If you want to really Show, Don't Tell fast speed, then what you've gotta do is simple: Have the characters perform feats that would only be possible with such insanely fast speed.
How does The Flash prove that he can move faster than light? By doing a full lap around the world an delivering an Infinite Mass Punch.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariFor all its Flaws, the Death Battle between Superman and Goku actually did show that the characters were moving outrageously fucking fast when the two disappeared and all that was visible was just a shitton of shockwaves going off everywhere almost simultaneously. Manga can actually do this, as well, and it's even easier for the artist, since all he or she needs to draw is the shockwave.
Flash Step is one of the laziest ways to show speed.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariWhat Saint Seiya generally does is flashy attack after flashy attack that can't even destroy the room they're in. Also, unbreakable shields that break once or twice per arc. Their speed feats can be summed up by the following exchange:
- Seiya: "His stance shows an opening for 1/100th of a second! If I can time my attack correctly, I can end the match!"
- Siegfried:"But I have perfected it so that it is only open for 1/1000th of a second!"
- Everyone: "GASP!"
- [Seiya attempts. Succeeds]
Yeah, the series runs a lot on Informed Attribute. Digimon has some of this as well, but at least their strong fighters are shown destroying cities, planets and the like.
That's more because Cosmos-based attacks usually just force all of that energy into the opponent's body with no excess that could cause the explosions, otherwise the planet itself wouldn't be standing since Gold Saints can destroy stars. Plus, the manga has shown people just flat out disintegrating due to attacks, so there is power in them.
Really, it's just a more extreme version of what the Z Fighters do with their attacks so they're not blowing up the planet every time they fight.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!Anyone else think Xenoverse loses enjoyability after you do everything? Even before doing everything really. Once you're happy with your characters moves, outfit and look, complete every Time Patrol and PQ what's left other than Mentor missions and trying to unlock everything? Now it feels more like a chore than a game. I've maxed out all my characters levels, got them in outfits i'm happy with and given them moves that I feel suit their personalities, and filled out all their Preset slots so now all I have to do is unlock all the moves, outfits, Omega Shenron, and complete Tien and Yamcha's mentor quests. I don't need any more outfits or moves so the only thing to do is grind for Dragon Balls. I've fought on every stage, against every unlocked character and done each PQ multiple times. So Xenoverse is no longer a game, it's like work with my pay being virtual clothing. And I hardly ever get paid. Plus online does not interest me, the only time I even bother to connect to the internet is for Patches or DLC anyway. It feels like this game was made more for those that want 100% and less for those that, once they're happy with their character want things to actually do. Guess there's nothing left to do but wait for the next DLC pack. Time for my Playstation to once again become a $200 paperweight.
EDIT: If anyone has suggestions on how to make the game fun again, i'd love to hear it.

What started out as a pleasant afternoon of drugs and surgery has not gone as planned.

Also, amidst all this discussion of Battle Power, I find this funny: I was reminded today that DB is generally considered a weaker 'verse than, of all things, Digimon.
