Man, poor Yamcha. That becomes his defining moment.
I don't think so?
Well, I mean, best way to find out is to field Krillin and see if he has ki regeneration. (outside of the Krillin Z Soul that provides temporary ki regen)

I have a message from another time...![]()
He almost certainly would've been if Yamcha hadn't insisted on going first. I mean, nobody knew they could self-destruct.
edit:
Speaking of Krillin moves, I'm shocked that Chain Destructo Disc Barrage isn't his mentor Ultimate.

I have a message from another time...Yeah, and that's why I can't take the saibaman thing seriously. It wasn't stronger than him, that's been stated. It took him by surprise. Just like it took everyone else by surprise except Vegeta.
Making fun him for other things I can understand but I can't hold that against him.

The joke is, it happened because Yamcha wasn't paying any attention. The Saibaman wasn't just weaker than him, it was also slower than him. It literally could only happen if Yamcha had a brain fart and stopped paying attention.
Which was exactly what he did.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariAgain, everyone thought it was dead. I'm not saying don't make fun of Yamcha I just can't take that as something to make fun of him for. Really, his probably seems to be having terrible luck than being weak so I can't really get behind those jokes either, but I can get a laugh out of them sometimes.
By that logic no one should have been surprised. But they were. I get what you all are saying, I just can't take it the same way, it just does not work out that way in my mind along with certain other things.
I know he's weaker than them but he's not the weakest of their group. People act like he is. People also act like during the android Saga what happened with Dr. Gero could only happen to him or when he fought Kami it would have only happened to him. That's why I said it's less him being weak and more him just having terrible luck, which itself could be a good source of comedy.

Krillin did stand an actual chance against Gero.
Krillin got a potential unlock power boost on Namek.
Krillin wouldn't have been impaled.
Gero would have had to bend down to grab Krillin.
Krillin would have at least been able to have gotten away.
He's good at that.
As I have discovered while trying to get Super Saiyan 2.
Krillin knows how to dodge.

Big assumptions there. Android 19 was putting up a good fight against an (albeit weakened) Super Saiyan Goku. Gero should have been able to do the same. Do you think at that point in time Krillin or Tien would have been able to?
I can't see anything reason to think that? Or be able to get away actually. As has been established, the kind of training they all do basically amounts to nothing at this point.

It can avoid certain moves due to the sudden drop to the ground, and you're supposed to spring up and attack for the stun.
I think it might also drop NPC threat, because I know there are attacks that do that. Meanwhile Satan's Ultimate focuses all the threat on him, because Satan is a legend.
