Japan likes rape? It seems like most of what comes out of Japan involves underage looking women in erotic poses/situations, tentacles doing things with people, and women used only for sex or to stand around looking hot.
I'm aware that's not completely true. This is a bad attempt at a joke.
Also, what the hell is an Albino Namekian (meaning is it something from the show and/or manga) and who's Brian? I had a few friends go on about how they can finally make an Albino Namkeian, Brian and Albino Brian. I asked them but they said I used up my 'stupid questions' when I asked what the big deal over Male Voice 8 was.
What started out as a pleasant afternoon of drugs and surgery has not gone as planned.I want to be charitable and say that it's drawn equivalent of an awful, sexist joke one might tell without actually thinking like that but this is just so crude.
"Haha, women are incompetent!"
"Haha, she got raped... twice."
"Haha, women only care about money and will gladly whore themselves out for it!"
Not the proudest moment for Toriyama for sure.
......
Albino Namekians were well, Namekian Albinos that the Guru Blamed for the great drought on original Namek (caused by him drinking the entire water) and who were all killed for that.

Ah ok. I never really got into Dragon Ball Abridged, didn't like Goku's voice. I think i've actually seen that video once before, it's alright I guess. Thanks for the quick responses.

What started out as a pleasant afternoon of drugs and surgery has not gone as planned. Not porn really, just sexism.
And yea..that was, um...pretty fucking terrible. And I normally don't get offended by shit like that, but Jesus Christ.
As for the whole sexism thing...yeeeaaaa, its one of the more cynical things about the Shonen genre; most authors just simply do not know how to write females into relevant and engaging roles. So they're stuck as minor supporting characters, eye-candy, or serve as motivation for another.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.![]()

Is it that the authors don't know how to write female characters, or think that putting female characters in prominent or tradition-breaking roles will alienate young male audiences for whatever reason? I mean, you do kinda see the inverse with Shoujo, being marketed towards young girls, so it makes me wonder if the root cause is delivering to the low expectations you have of the audience.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Yeah, I don't see any malice in Lady Red. That's just Toriyama's sense of humor, where he subverts expectations. He does it all the time in Dragonball.
I dunno, that's like saying Daniel Tosh is sexist because he made rape jokes that one time and makes fun of women on Tosh 0.

"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."They did do episode of Bardock abridge though.
Anyway, i mentioned it because they had said part of the reason they hadn't done Bo G abridge yet because of Buu and the others.
@Cruherrx:
People did call Tosh sexist because of that actually. And with good reason because he is rather sexist. So not the best example.

Sexism isn't necessarily about malice.
It frankly rarely is.
Same with racism, many forms of discrimination, really.
Note that's discrimination, not prejudice. One is the act, the other is the belief.
It's actually entirely possible to perform the act without the belief. Everybody else is doing it, so that must make it okay.
And Daniel Tosh makes fun of women using stereotypes about women. Kinda sexist.
And some of the things Toriyama does all the time in Dragon Ball aren't exactly great either.
That doesn't make it okay.

I'm sure everyone has done something in the 80s that they would look back on and regret.
It just turns out that Toriyama's done more than most is all.
...Kidding aside, I mean.
Wow. That is really and truly awful.
...Equally, even if Toriyama hadn't done that, I mean. That doesn't make issues in his other work not exist, either.
I'm always leery about putting too much emphasis on the author with regards to these sorts of things.
I mean.
...Okay, no, wait, I think my critical faculties have shut down temporarily because what the actual fuck!?
