You know, I never thought about it before, but I don't think Tenshinhan has ever been hit by a Ki attack before.
He reflected a Kamehameha, bragged about repeating the feat even when he was exhausted, successfully dodged Piccolo's nuclear blasts (twice, both at close range), subdued a cannon-powered Super Dodonpa by yelling at it hard enough, and then managed to stop Buutenks' attack entirely. Every time he's been defeated, it was by physical attacks.
Is this like a weird superpower or something?

.....
Holy shit! I can't believe I missed that.
Wait, what about that filler ep with the Geriatric Saiyans who murder him and Yamcha? I'm pretty sure those guys used Ki attacks at the end.
Then again, Filler, so I suppose it doesn't count.
I can't believe we missed that.
One Strip! One Strip! These statements do not underlie maturity of the individual that uses them. I have tried to treat your arguments with dignity respect until you used these.
And, you know, no, I wasn't being entirely serious. Or, at least, I wouldn't have been if "Hercule is stronger than Yamcha" was a thing I ever said.
But at Yamcha and Hercule's levels, Hercules charisma does, in fact, bring him up a bit above Yamcha's level as a martial artist. Because he can probably just get Yamcha lynched if he had to.
Tien and Krillin are stronger than Yamcha and also can probably win sympathy points because the mutant and the midget.
Hercule's charisma wouldn't work on Beerus. Yamcha's anything wouldn't either.
Hercule's charisma actually turned Buu good temporarily then got Buu's evil destroyed permanently. Yamcha's everything actually got turned into candy and eaten.
I actually fucking do martial arts. And there is, in fact, more to fighting than who can punch harder than the other guy. Hercule is a great example of that. And he has a lot to teach along those lines.
I mean, Tien and Krillin both also use their power in inventive and unique ways. That's why the Solar Flare keeps getting used, and why the Destructo Disc would have been useful if it had ever actually hit anything.
And, god, I loved using the Scatter Kamehameha against waves of mooks. That is a legitimately good technique for crowd control Krillin came up with.

No, they assert me not understanding what if you are being serious or not and deliberately ignoring what I was trying to say. If you honestly think Hercule's shameless lying has something to do with him being a good martial artist or that he'd be a good teacher, I'll leave it at that.
Again, what point is it to this discussion, they always end unsatisfyingly for everyone involved.

I haven't ignored a damn thing you were trying to say. You tried to ascribe arguments to me I never fucking made.
Getting people on your side is something that you can actually do in most fights. Something you probably should do in many cases. It is actually a thing in martial arts. Getting help. Backup. Making bystanders not be bystanders. Or, alternatively, from the opposite end, getting them to evacuate safely and calmly. Getting them out of harm's way. This is a skill Hercule is better suited for than Yamcha is.
I mean, when Yamcha tried to evacuate a part of a city he ended up being hit by a truck, impaled and sucked by an old man.
Most fights can be avoided by talking to and relating with someone, which Hercule actually successfully accomplished with Buu. Until someone shot him.
The fact that Hercule is able to and knows how to sway opinion the way he is and the way he does is much more important than how he uses that ability.
The former can be taught.
And I've actually been playing Xenoverse and Hercule actually is a pretty good teacher.
In Online he came up with a special digital fighting dojo thing that was able to teach the entire planet how to use ki and things.

Hercule teaches character in Xenoverse ridiculously useful ability about crowd management that Hercule used to significantly contribute to killing Majin Buu.
I contended that Hercule has more to offer a student than Yamcha because of that ability.
???
Profit?
Yes, being condescending will help.
And yes I am aware of the hypocrisy.

@Handsome Rob: Ah, but the geriatric saiyans (
) were illusions! That's why Tenshinhan woke up, like in a dream, he regained consciousness when the dream got too unrealistic for him
Also, the two nuclear blasts from Piccolo that he dodged, he dodged them to protect someone else in both cases... I like where this is going.
"Are you actually being serious?" does not tend towards constructive discussion.
It carries, in my experience, the belief that the person it's directed towards is completely ignorant and can simply be dismissed out of hand.
I'm rather used to that sort of treatment but I still can't stand it. I do not tend to respond well to it.
If you had not edited your posts with the constant passive aggressive little barbs at the end I would not have started getting upset.
Exhibit A.

Ultimately, being charismatic or anything Mark is able to teach you is going to do jack shit when Frieza and an army numbering in the thousands comes a knocking. Hell, the average foot soldier is like 200 times stronger than the average human, and Frieza is strong enough at this point to rival the God of Destruction in raw power. There is literally nothing that Mark could do to keep himself and the planet alive when he uses his Ultimate Evolution, because being charismatic is not going to stop Frieza from blowing up the galaxy.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!You could try respecting my opinion.
I mean. You think that what Hercule is able to do by talking to people has nothing to do with his skill as a martial artist. That his ability to put on a show for an audience isn't more useful than Yamcha's attacks and techniques. That's a perfectly valid view of what martial arts is, and what is worth learning.
But from your third post onward you have questioned whether I was at all serious, as if no reasonable person could ever possibly think what I said. That I was so wrong it wasn't even worth engaging with.
That kinda hurts. And it's kinda common. And rude.
I'm sorry for my part in all this. I've escalated when I admittedly shouldn't have. I've gotten defensive and responded in turn. And you've deserved better than that. I apologize.
It could get that galaxy to lend you energy for a Spirit Bomb.
It could get other galaxies to lend a hand, to offer aid.
Don't underestimate motivational speakers.

Edit: Why am I even bothering with this? I already know how it's going to end.
