I'm not normally one for shameless plugs, but I wrote a post on my tumblr (that I hardly ever use) about how I thought the new movie would go. And I'm actually how surprised I was with how well it turned out. I can feasibly imagine the movie going like this. So, if you want, give it a look and tell me if you think this would make sense.

I only want two realistically doable things out of Xenoverse 2.
One: Faster fights. I want everything to move quicker. Yes, it will give you considerably less time to react and make combos, but that's the name of the game when playing DBZ. Fights are absurdly fast in it.
Two: More impressive attacks. Xenoverse's attacks are kind of underwhelming. There are no explosions. In a series known for having explosions on explosions, there aren't explosions.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariI blame it for being on the PS3 and 360. If it were PS 4/XBO/PC exclusive, I'd have a feeling we'd get those mighty attacks.

I say f*ck the RNG entirely.
If they want to lock equipment behind barriers in levels, make them accomplishments. Like, this piece of equipment is a Historical Accuracy bonus for killing Raditz with the Special Beam Cannon. Things like that.
RNG-determined Drop Items are a shitty idea cribbed from shitty RPGs. It's not content, it's padding. It's the video game equivalent of all those anime scenes where the characters just scream and power up because they need to stall for the next chapter. It's withholding content and going, "LOL, do it again," in a transparent attempt to increase the number of Hours in the game without adding any more game to it, and it needs to die.
Of all the things Dragon Ball could have borrowed from the pool of "RPG Elements," it chose grinding, an element so thoroughly reviled that even modern RPGs go out of their way to keep players from having to do it.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Saying "Oh, it's for the PS 3/360" does not cut it as an explanation for why we can't have attacks with impressive explosions.
Earth's Special Forces did it, and it's a mod for Half Life!
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariOkay, I might have gone with an unjustified answer. Maybe they're still trying to get the kinks of the next gen consoles. I think Dimps had similar problems with a previous next-gen game called Freedom Wars or something, but I think most of those problems went away after a few patches or so.
Dimps is already patching this game as we speak, so maybe if we send some emails, they'll patch certain things they might have forgot.

I'm pretty sure you can't excuse the lack of explosions when attacks land on hardware limitations in any way. The lack of explosions was a stupid decision made and nothing else.

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariOn that note, I was really disappointed by Light Grenade when my character, Papaya, was training with Piccolo. It's just a little ball of energy that faffs against the target when you fire it.
Ironically, once I learned it, I noticed the Makankosappo has the opposite problem of being too large and flashy, being a HUGE BEAM of spiral energy that rivals the Kamehameha in size.
Also, as an aside, I'm fairly certain Papaya's voice actress did the female Ranma in the English dub of Ranma 1/2, which is making it really hard to ignore her physical similarities to the character given that I gave her short red hair. <.<

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Is anyone else having the issue of Super Buu's health suddenly dropping to the red in Parallel Quest #37? I beat Gotenks the second time and Buu has a little over half his health left, but the second I go through the gate to the Wasteland his health drops into the flashing red so by the time I fight Vegito Buu is just about dead and then fucking Vegito murders him before I can kill him. It's the last quest I have to do so I want to figure out why the sudden drop in health so I can beat this thing. If items effected (or is it affected?) quest NP Cs I could just heal the pink bastard. If it's supposed to do that for whatever dumb reason, any recommendations as to who I should bring with me? Taking my character, Goku, and Super Saiyan God Goku works pretty well for distracting opponents while I charge my Ki bar to remain in Super Saiyan but it's like if i'm not using a character their damage output drops significantly.
Also, what exactly does Strike Supers and Ki Blast Supers do stat wise? I'm guessing Ki Blast Supers is how strong your ultimate attacks are but no idea what Strike Supers does. I'm debating weather or not to respec my character after getting all the good wishes out of the way and I want to know what those things do. At the moment, all I know is I put to many points into Stamina, it's at 14 when I could just have it at like 6 and be fine.

What started out as a pleasant afternoon of drugs and surgery has not gone as planned.

You remember correctly, but they were pretty quickly dominating the fight. Gohan and Krillin were making short work of Guldo, with his time stop being the only thing that kept it from being a hilarious anticlimax, until he managed to catch them both in his paralyzing TK - an ability that has been established to work on stronger fighters back when Chiaotzu, of all people, was using it against Goku to cheat at the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai during his match with Tien.
Guldo's unique abilities made up for his weak battle power, and that's why Gohan and Krillin needed Vegeta to blindside Guldo with a single decapitating hit for them, while he was distracted.
