Frieza's new form does look a little different. The color change is just the most noticable thing. I think he looks more like a gold Cooler now.
So I don't recall if this has been explained but.....
Frieza has been dead for far longer than a year. How were they even able to wish him back?
I'm sure I recall it being brought up earlier as a reason this movie was a stupid idea (among other things), but did we ever get an answer for how they did it?
One Strip! One Strip!Apparently, the 'year' rule only applies for when resurrecting a large amount of people with one wish. Hence why the Saiyans weren't wished back.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!
That.
The one-year limit has only ever applied to mass revivals.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub. This may sound inconceivable, but I'm going to try to rewrite and plan the entire Dragon Ball franchise into one, possibly long, readable text. Something akin to Tolkien's works. Just about everything, including movies, GT and games with original stories will be rewritten and reconfigured for this text.
Here's an outline on how everything will be settled.
Wha'cha think?
You said that last page, and while I'm not sure if you're serious, assuming you're not, hear me out.
17 was killed when Cell died, right? They wished him back. 17 and 18 were cyborgs, their cybernetics weren't part of them, but did he stop being a cyborg? Shenron couldn't turn them back into humans either.
"Revival" wishes just usually seem to work out optimally for the revived because Shenron and Porunga aren't like the genie from Wish Master.
But with the Z-Fighters, wishing them "back to life" wouldn't work if they still had mortal wounds. Wishing Frieza "back to life" wouldn't work if he was in pieces the way we last saw him. The wish has to make that leap in order to be granted (or, he could wish them back to life for ten seconds of screaming, bloody agony, shortly before their second death).
When they wished Krillin back he still had his armor with the hole in it. Same thing with Vegeta. You don't always come back purely as you were, just in a condition that qualifies as "alive". (So why not bring them back as a single-cell bacteria or something?)
Maybe I'm wrong, I just thought about that since the trailer shows Frieza in his restricted form - which isn't the form he died in either. Why would he regress?

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!@Env:
But that doesn't explain why Guru was brought back to life.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone else![]()
No, that's about right. The Dragon restores life to you, but that doesn't necessarily mean he repairs all damage to your body. In Revival of F, Frieza is restored in the pieces Trunks cut him into, which means Shenron was able to un-vaporize him, but could not fix the slashes; he also states this before granting the wish, admitting that to rez Frieza would leave him in this state. This seems to imply that it was the ki blast that killed Frieza, not the decimation, which sort of makes sense as Frieza's ability to survive after being cut into pieces is already well-established.
Frieza is then put into a regeneration chamber like the ones his ship had in the Namek arc to reconstruct his body, and he emerges in his restricted form.
That was explained in the story proper. Guru was revived because his lifespan was shortened by grief at the death of his people at Frieza's hand. He was given back just the amount of life that he lost from despair at Frieza's actions, and passed away again shortly after

The Dragon said he fixed up Krillin's body as a bonus.
On Freeza the Dragon said to Sorbet because he died so long ago and was reduced to such small fragment he can only bring him back in the last state he was alive in. Which was the pieces that Trunks cut him into.
Here is the scene of his revival.
After this Sorbet and Tagoma collected the pieces and stuck Freeza in a new model of their healing chamber which regenerated his body.
It should be noted that Freeza's cells were what made Cell so hard to put down. The ability to survive in nearly any state combined with Piccolo's regeneration.

Guru was said to have died of a broken heart (due to Frieza killing his people). Then he later died of old age like he would have if Frieza had never come at all.
I didn't know that. Has that rule always been in effect?
One Strip! One Strip!Yes. There has never been a time limit on single revivals; it's only mass revivals that have a one-year restriction.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Since we're on the subject of death; for all of the jokes that are at the expense of the series when it comes to it's Death Is Cheap philosophy, the characters in-universe treat death fairly seriously despite how easy it is to bring them back to life.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does."Here! This is me at full power! Just like you wanted! I won't let a single Saiyan live!"
"No Frieza-dono, yamete!"

So... if your PC isn't a Saiyan, does the dialogue stay the same? Will Frieza still pull the race card on you?
You know, I think Budokai 3 or Infinite World had a what-if where Vegeta turned into a Super Saiyan before Goku too.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Has anyone else noticed how easy Xenoverse becomes once a Saiyan gets the Super Saiyan ability? I use Maximum Charge, Super Saiyan and Supernova and I kill like everything in minutes. Also, is every fight with Broly supposed to be extremely easy? I thought the final boss was way easier than it should'v been, then I got to fight Broly. And accidently killed him while trying to get Ape Bardock to fight him to hopefully get his furry ass unstuck from between two rocks. Bardock spent the whole fight trying to phase through rocks.
And who else just loves Cell's Z grade line? "I'd totally hug you if that was something I did." I kinda want to hug Cell for no reason other than to say I hugged Cell.
What started out as a pleasant afternoon of drugs and surgery has not gone as planned.Okay, I tweaked and updated the DB Timeline Redux due to noticing a few omissions.
Anyways, any thoughts?
