Wait, sorry, Gohan got his potential unlocked just before the Ginyus arrived, not Krillin.
Still, the ability takes time to take full effect. Vegeta mistook Gohan for Goku when sensing his battle power shortly after the unlock, putting Gohan at around 8,000ish. Gohan and Krillin proceed to get curbstomped by Recoome, battle power 40-60k, and shortly after the pair make short work of Ginyu in Goku's body, battle power 23,000.
That it's a gradual effect is evidenced when Vegeta observes that Gohan and Krillin's battle powers are steadily rising. They didn't just suddenly have super-high battle powers; the increase took time to reach its full effect. By the time they fight Frieza, official sources put Krillin's battle power at 75,000 and Gohan's at 200,000, which is generally assumed to be the final results of their Unlock, plus Gohan's probable zenkai after the Senzu Bean he got from Recoome breaking his neck.
Tien, however, last clocked in at 1,830, spent a few months on Kaio-sama's planet training in 10x gravity, and then never underwent any kind of special training or received any boosts again.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.About Gohan, how is it possible for him to get his hidden potential unlocked twice? Did the grand elder make a comment about how Gohan had so much in him he couldn't let it out or is Mystic Gohan just a recycled plot point that isn't given an adequate explanation for why it needs to be recycled at all?
The last time Gohan had his hidden potential released, he was, like, 5. His potential should have increased dramatically as he got older.
Krillin, on the other hand, was in the prime of his life and probably doesn't have anything left to draw out. For the humans, it's all downhill from Namek.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub. Some questions that are irrelevant to the topic at hand.
1: Why the hell does the Saiyan custom not have a tail in Xenoverse? Really they don't seem any different from humans since the two races share the same armor. Had to get Saiyan armor to make it look like my character has a tail. Or maybe the no tails thing is a screw up only for the female Saiyans in the game.
2: Why in the hell is my female character referred to as a man? I'm guessing it's just a translation thing since I heard Japanese has plenty of gender neutral terms while English does not. Still annoying and seems kind cheap/lazy.
3: This is most likely me missing something/being stupid, but I cannot find where to buy the season pass. Check on the Playstation Store and the only thing close to it is a bundle pack of the pass and game. I don't want to pay an extra 60 bucks just to save 5.
Overall though the game is enjoyable if you don't expect anything other than fighting. I say that because a friend of mine came over today and said "Fighting? That's all you do? Definitely not getting this game now." Sadly, he was serious.
What started out as a pleasant afternoon of drugs and surgery has not gone as planned.Ten wouldn't be able to catch up like that. It's the exact same thing as freezing water: yes, hot water loses heat faster, but it can never actually overtake cold water in the freezing process because the colder it gets the slower it cools down. Mean while the cold water is staying ahead, while cooling down itself.
By the time Ten caught up with Kuririn's 75,000 (assuming his training enough takes him that far) he'd be slowed down to making progress at the same rate Kuririn was. Meanwhile, while Ten was doing that, Kuririn has gone and moved from 75,000 to a higher level, staying ahead of Ten. The gap will get smaller over time but can't actually be closed while both are training.
So being weaker does Ten absolutely no favours. Once again, it comes down to whether the period where Kuririn stops training is enough for Ten to catch up and surpass him. And as it turns out, it isn't, because the lead was too large.
It's also completely useless to ascertain that Ten would train harder and with more benefits because that's never come up before and Kuririn improved more from God's training, because he's slightly weaker.Ten's never shown himself to train better than anyone.

Why is he even arguing it? Word of God itself says Krillin is the strongest human. The movie states it.
Does that invalidates the arguments about training methods and mentality. No.
Those arguments do hold wait to them and you can justify that gaps would be narrowed because of personal choices, but arguing won't change the status of canon.
Its just something we all have to accept. As much as both sides make sense this circular argument unlike many actually have an end, they have a conclusion drawn by official material.
It might come from the fact that I consider the 75,000 figure to be utter fucking bullshit, but that's just me.
Yes, I know it's Word of God and as such canon, but then again, Word of God also says that Mr. Satan is a coward who would never ever ever ever fight anyone strong and that he would lose to a real life wrestler (which is laughable given the kind of hits Mr. Satan shrugs off).
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariNo, I think it's bullshit because it's ridiculous and it actually contradicts canon, in which Krillin got his ass whooped by Recoome, who was much, much weaker than Krillin would've been at 75,000. So either I have to assume that it works as Tobias Drake said, meaning gradually, or call it bullshit.
I call it bullshit.
After all, the 75,000 number is pointless anyway.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariThis is why I joke about zenkais being so common and so abused on Namek that even Krillin got one because reality forgot he's not supposed to.
But it's important to note that this is a joke. Gradual power increase as a result of Guru's potential unlock is the canon reason for Krillin's rise to 75,000.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.The realistic explanation is Toriyama probably forgot. Powerlevels themselves are ridiculously inaccurate and inconsistent. Piccolo was just supposed to have 500 less than Nappa when fighting on earth but he and Krillin kept getting curbstomped.
In addition to the 500 point difference, Nappa was a superior fighter. As Goku demonstrated many times in his career, skill matters too, not just power.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Nappa was even able to keep up with Goku(Without using the Kaioken anyway) after he calmed down a bit.
People love to point out how much of a Spotlight-Stealing Squad the Saiyans became, but at the very least there's a good reason why. They're the most naturally gifted fighters and they're designed to be as strong as possible.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Yeah, I think it would be a little strange to have Gohan's full potential unlocked when he was 5. I doubt he would be able to control it.
And about the review: wow. Just shows this person didn't keep up with the game info.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!

Krillin got owned by Recoome five minutes after receiving a gradual power-up that takes time to take effect. Recoome's battle power is between 40,000 and 60,000. Krillin's battle power by the time he fought Frieza was 75,000. Goku arrived on Namek with 90,000.
That Krillin is strong enough to overpower Recoome by the time they leave Namek is canon. While Tien's battle power increases are up for debate, Krillin's post-Namek battle power is not.
