A guy who doesn't train being more powerful than a guy who does train is silly, though. This isn't a human compared to an alien, or even two people who have vastly different power levels. Hell, we don't even know how much stronger Krillin is than Tien, or how much stronger than Tien Krillin was at the height of his power.
(By the way, if having sex with someone who's very strong also makes you very strong... That would actually explain how Chichi was able to train Goten, now that I think about it...)

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariLet's not worry about who's stronger. It's a meaningless debate. I mean, it's not like any of them stand a chance against Freeza. We know that's Goku and Vegeta's role.
I'm more surprised they didn't forget about Gohan's whole "potential to be strongest in the universe" (but still doesn't do crap). It's not like he's done anything to back that claim up ever since the series ended. I thought they were just ignoring it in modern DBZ stuff.

The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby! There's absolutely nothing silly about it. No-one is saying Ten can never surpass Kuririn while Kuririn doesn't train, just that the time in the series evidently wasn't enough.
" This isn't a human compared to an alien, or even two people who have vastly different power levels. Hell, we don't even know how much stronger Krillin is than Tien, or how much stronger than Tien Krillin was at the height of his power."
...yes, it is exactly that. There's an absolutely massive difference between their powers, and we know enough to know that Ten needs to go from 1,830 to above 75,000 to surpass Kuririn on Namek. So even ignoring the next 5 years of Kuririn's training, it's an insane gap.
It's utterly ridiculous to say anything but Ten surpassing Kuririn before the series end is silly.
This isn't "guy who does train vs guy who doesn't", this is "two guys train all their lives, one then gets a massive power up, trains some more before quitting, and maintains enough of a lead over the other that he can't catch up in a given time period".
Completely different. Regular training just isn't as effective as special power ups, 90% of the time.
Hard to believe Krillin is stronger than Vegeta when he arrived on Earth. Namek power levels got ridiculous. No wonder they stopped calculating them after that.

Yup. But it just might be close enough of a match that Mr. Satan couldn't easily pass it off as a gag loss :3

By the Saiyan saga, we reached a point where even "just training" doesn't just adds tens or twenties, it has the potential to multiply power levels by values of around 10 in months. Were any special techniques confirmed as being used by Kami and Popo on the lookout, where the humans got boosted from 100-200 to ca. 1,000 each? And by the time the training with King Kai was done with, Chiaotzu was likely a helluva lot stronger training partner than Kami or Popo.

Yeah, I don't think Chi Chi's ever displayed anything resembling superhuman powers except being able to survive a fucking from Cell Saga Goku, so Hercule could probably put up an actual fight.
My various fanfics.Buu Saga Chichi survived a fight with Goten. A fight in which Goten went Super Saiyan on her. Remember: Goku, with a million times the experience (and admittedly, a much, much higher powerlevel) bitchslapped her through a wall accidentally. Saiyans do not have perfect control of their strength, much less so in Super Saiyan form. Chichi's gotta be tough as shit.
@Saiga
The characters' powerlevels increase faster the higher they are. Which means that yes, I do expect Tien to have caught up in the ten years of time there was between Freeza's death and Majin Buu's death, particularly given that Tien trained for all ten years whereas Krillin pretty much stopped after Cell, and if not, then not much later.
Hell, it wouldn't really surprise me if Tien was stronger than Krillin during Cell's time on earth.
Just because Krillin is the strongest human doesn't mean he's the strongest Earthling, though... That'd actually be Gohan.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariTo be fair, Chichi surviving Goku's back slap is as much Rule of Funny as anything else. Yeah, she's genuinely tough, but it likely didn't kill her because it was more humorous to put her through a few trees instead.
The Goten thing might have been the same, combined with Goten not using that much strength even when transformed.
One Strip! One Strip! The scene is a goddamn joke anyway, but the point is, Chichi is supposed to be tough. She's just nowhere near the same ballpark as her family is (hell, her children aren't in the same ballpark her husband is and need outside aid to join it).
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariIsn't her surviving a hit from Super Saiyan Goten filler, though? Chi-Chi's toughness is made from Rule of Funny. The whole 'the only things Saiyans are afraid of are their wives' thing. It's pretty hard to work out how strong she actually is.

Assuming Vegeta was telling the truth about aiming to blow up the Earth (Which there's no reason to doubt, given he'd be proven wrong almost immediately), all it takes is a power level of at least 18,000 to achieve planet-buster status, probably even less. Krillin at his Namek peak was 75,000, and might have gotten marginally stronger afterward.
Ninja'd.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! Also a reminder that practically EVERYONE can blow up the planet. Even the 7 and 8 year old boys. All you need is one Majin Vegeta and literally everyone could die.
Even if you don't use mind control, jeez. No wonder they want to keep this a secret. I'm honestly surprised the Earth wasn't destroyed sooner.
The *Legendary* Super Saiyan is motivated by a crying infant! He is a literal giant f***ing baby!Especially the two young boys. See, the problem with them is, they can barely hold back as it is.
By the way have I said that Krillin at 75,000 at the time of Namek makes no sense? 'cuz it doesn't.
