No such distinction is ever suggested. Trying to manufacture one is leaving the realm of canon and entering the realm of fanfiction.

I legitimately did not actually remember that Trunks'd cut his hair. It's not important, it's just a silly haircut after all.
As for the sword, apparently I am also blind. Colorblind, at least, 'cuz that alone shoulda tipped me off.

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariList of Xenoverse achievements.
Judging from that, it looks like Broli might be the final boss instead of the villain created for this game. Wow.
According to a recent interview, SSJ3 is going to be a DLC ultimate once they figure out how to implement it to CAC Saiyans. Also, Jaco will eventually be in the US and EU versions of the game and they might put GT sagas and Dragon Ball Heroes content eventually as well if demand is high.
This game is gonna be epic.

Well the Super Saiyan 3 thing sounds like DLC done right: we can't do it now, so we'll do it when we can. Unlike "this was part of the game, but we put it behind a paywall" or "pre-order for an entire fucking character that has no real reason not to be in the game".
Pre-order bonuses suck. Despite that, despite knowing how bad supporting pre-orders is for the consumer, it works. I'm not going to boycott pre-ordering on principle because I don't want to give up Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta for something like that.

True, but that could just mean it's a much smaller saga since it only involves Broli. I think it'd be something like Attack of the Saiyans, where he's the bonus boss after the main story, but still gets wanked like hell. Highly doubt they'll be like "and now fight this guy way weaker than everyone before him". It's likely more like, you saved the universe! Even fending off Beerus and some Demon God thing! As a reward, you get to fight an even greater challenge!

What I mean is that while Shenron can fulfil that wish, it won't do anything. It will just split timelines again.
It's not "job done" it's "you created another timeline where you killed them before they did anything. Congratulations, the timelines where they did things still have said things done to them".
Literally changes nothing.
