Cooler's form could have worked if some effort was put into justifying it. Freeza created his forms, so Cooler could have created something that works differently if any effort was put into it.
Given the fact that he never uses the 100% bulky form Freeza does, that form could have been created as a way for Cooler to use his full power more efficiently. Then with the increased efficiency he was able to surpass Freeza through training.
That makes sense.
Alternatively, he was like Frieza, and using a weaker form, and the form he takes on for the final Dumb ass tree planting is his own true form, that's distinct from Frieza's.
Nobody said all their true forms had to look identical now did they?
One Strip! One Strip!![]()
Saiga, you should be writing the movies. That makes perfect sense.
It being Cooler's better version of the 100% Full Power form makes more sense, because if they can just create forms that are immensely more powerful than their base, there's no reason not to just keep doing that.
Giving the character the ability to create his own multipliers is effectively a power level of Infinity.

Dammit, why couldn't they have given this much thought to it? 'Cause I like Shredder-Cooler.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseI thought you were quoting Abridged.
They made that joke verbatim in their take on the Cooler movie.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Look, Cooler may be a nerd and Frieza may be cooler, but I think we can all agree Cooler>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Broly.
I'd rather Cooler having a bajillion forms since at least they look cool and aren't just muscles on muscles like the bajillion transformations they keep giving Broly. Does anyone even like Broly? Why the hell do they keep putting him in everything, goddammit?
I swear this post didn't start as a Broly mini-rant.
"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."A lot of people like Broly, which is the answer to the second question as well. The fact that you even feel the need to establish your favorite movie villain above him is evidence of that, in and of itself; nobody's really clamoring over whether Cooler is a better villain than Lord Slug.
Wolverine Publicity wouldn't be a thing if Wolverine was unpopular.
Broly is popular because he appeals to the 90's sense of HARDCORE - which was popular at the time and is coming back into style - while simultaneously resolving a huge plot hole that doesn't actually exist, but that casual Dragon Ball fans love to poke fun at anyway.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Cooler is by no means my favorite movie villain: that honor belongs to Beerus. I just accept Cooler because he was in a better movie, had a backstory that made some sense and is an actual character, as opposed to a walking bulk of muscle and screams.
Nobody loves 90s edge more than me, but Broly is just fuggen awful. When my friends and I were kids, in fact, we made fun of how dumb Broly was. Maybe Broly fans just aren't vocal enough, but I've literally never encountered one (that actually likes the character instead of liking to make fun of him), and this is the internet, where even Birdemic has fans.
Uh, I apologize, thread. I just really hate Broly.
"If you weren't so crazy I'd think you were insane."Beerus is definitely my favorite movie villain...
Because he made Battle of Z a joke once I unlocked him.
He's overpowered as shit. Seriously, all I did when playing as him was to set everyone else on support (three copies of 18, of course) while I spammed the left trigger until everything was dead. Even Vegetto dealt shit for damage to Beerus, and I didn't even have an optimal card loadout.
Seriously, why is he stronger than Whis!?

I have a friend's 360 since he went abroad, and he had a copy of Battle of Z, which I've been playing for a while. While the game has ginormous problems... as in, seriously, who the hell makes a DBZ fighting game not for a handheld without local multiplayer!?... it's still fun. The battle system is extremely simplistic, it's nonsensical that you've got to charge up your ki by hitting stuff, pulling off the ultimates is a pain in the ass, a lot of characters who should have ultimates don't, inexplicably, the partner AI is stupid beyond measure and you can't play solo to make up for the difference, the missions can be incredibly ass...
It's not horrible. It's definitely not a great game, but it's... okay.
Point is, the game is enjoyable. It's clearly a movie tie in game, though, and it shows a lot. I would kill for a DBZ Fighter that plays like Budokai Tenkaichi for the PS 3, though.

Metal-Cooler has him in the equivalent to Freeza's original form... it might be that the transformation is something external and/or unique to Cooler.
