For the most part they're very accurate because they do nothing but regurgitate parts of the official series - most of the new information is actually completely incidental (like all manga guidebooks) and makes up a tiny part of the books.
They do have some obvious errors though, like saying at one point that Tenshinhan fought 19 which he never did. Probably the most glaring one.

I wonder how well Tenshinhan would have fared against 19 by the end of DBZ, actually... During the android fights, he didn't seem to have the problem that Gohan and Krillin did during the fight with Frieza, where the opponent was so fast that they could barely see what was happening. He got the training on King Kai's world, and his Kikoho held 2nd-form Cell back. Plus, unlike Yamcha and Krillin, he was implied to have trained when offscreen. Tbh, I think he could potentially be at Frieza's level, if not quite enough to beat him outright, which if true should put him in the same ballpark as 19 and 20 (individually, anyhow).

I don't think Tien would have ever exceeded Frieza's power. I don't think even Krillin ever surpassed Frieza.
Tien's Neo Tri Beam would probably OHKO 19, though, considering it was powerful enough to hold Semi-Perfect Cell back. Unless 19 can absorb that.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Android 19 would have barely even noticed him while curbstomping the entire human cast simultaneously.
Post-Namek, Krillin is the most powerful human in the cast, and we're never given any indication that this changes. And even Krillin is barely a blip on the radar compared to the rest of the cast, leaving Namek with a power level of 75,000 to Frieza's 120,000,000. Any Android that surpasses Frieza would have absolutely zero trouble with the humans.
First of all, yes, he can absorb that, it's a ki attack. Second, it held Cell back with the force alone; it did no damage to him at all. His grand accomplishment of minorly aggravating Semi-Perfect Cell for about ten seconds is still pretty meaningless compared to the power scale being dealt with here.

Some would debate if the first couple of androids were even at the level of 50% Freeza.
I tried to powerscale GT Pan based on Base Goku's punch doing nothing to Gero, giving Cell Saga Base Goku a PL of 40,000.000 and Android 19/20 a PL of 50,000,000, and a guy said there was no reason to think Goku's base improved much from Namek. So maybe he was only at 10.000,000 and the first couple Androids were only 20,000,000.
I never bought that "it just pushed Cell back." When have we ever seen a ki attack effect somebody while not damaging them? I'm pretty sure that's never happened ever.

I... highly doubt that Krillin was the strongest human by the end of DBZ, when he was the only one outside Yajirobe who hadn't trained on King Kai's planet, which amped Goku up to over 10 times his previous power level.
Also, the attack didn't do any major damage to Cell, but it did clearly leave marks, which is more than Krillin's physical attacks could do at least.

No, instead, he got a power-up from Guru that unlocked his Hidden Potential, raising his power to 75,000 - stronger than any member of the Ginyu Force short of the Captain, which would have been really nice if it hadn't kicked in gradually and he could have had it while he was fighting said Ginyus. By comparison, Goku came home with a power level of around 8,000 after training on Kaio-sama's planet for the better part of a year.
Had Krillin and Gohan had to make do with the power levels they came to Namek with, Ginyu in Goku's body would have made short work of them despite his incredible weakness at using Goku's body.
And, for what it's worth, ten times Tien's level would be 18,730, which is still a joke by Namek standards and utterly worthless by Android standards. If Tien's power level multiplied ten times on Kaio-sama's planet, he would still be inferior to Vegeta as he was when they first fought him on Earth, albeit only slightly.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.People like to say Ten is stronger because he actually does impressive shit after the Namek Saga.
And people can say "ALL IT DID WAS INCONVENIENCE CELL, IT DID NO DAMAGE" or "KNOCKING BUU'S ATTACK AWAY ISN'T IMPRESSIVE" all they want but you know what Krillin did in those sagas? Absolutely dick.
So guidebooks and Toriyama and Jesus himself could declare Krillin stronger than Tien but people are obviously going to be more impressed by the guy who actually did something instead of the midget who failed to do anything.
Oh wait, I forgot, he got himself turned to stone. Very good, Kuririn, you're a champion.

Well, he did cut Buu in half in some filler... but that's filler... and it was Buu, who will gladly let you do that just to show that it doesn't affect him...
Tien does at least do some stuff, yeah. But it's been stated time and time again that Krillin is the strongest human by the end of Z still. Tien and Yamcha never catch up to him.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Base Trunks flung Imperfect Cell away with an ordinary kiai, so yeah, pushing someone with an attack but not damaging them is utterly meaningless.
The next cool thing Ten did was get kicked unconscious (or possibly dead) by a severed pair of legs. It's very obvious that Kuririn is stronger than Ten, but Ten gets made out to be stronger by people because he's tough looking and stoic, and some people seem to think that counts for something in Dragon Ball.
Yeah, 19 would destroy Ten. I don't think the base Saiyans ever got that strong, which makes it an impossible goal for Ten.

Probably about 4,500,000 after his 3 year training and 40,000,000 after his rosat training. There is a lot of power ups and escalation going on while he's off training.
His power at the start of the arc is hard to pin down since he's sick until right before he enters the room, all that's known is that he's weaker than Vegeta. I figure he didn't get drastically stronger but had to make some growth.
But the only person who would know is Toriyama, and he's forgetting a detail about Dragonball every hour.
My various fanfics.Personally, I see Tien as being stronger than Krillin, if only because he continued to train up to and past the Buu Saga, whereas Krillin did the exact same thing Gohan did after the Cell Games: pretty much stop training entirely, in order to raise his daughter. Seeing how Gohan got weaker after seven years of inactivity, what makes you think Krillin wouldn't suffer the same fate?

Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!Tien can train all he wants, he's still just Mountain Training. He doesn't use Gravity Chambers and he doesn't get racial bonuses to do crazy things to his power level, and unlike Krillin, he never got a magic power-up either. Goku and Vegeta were able to accelerate the way they did in part because of their racial bonuses, but in part because they kept finding new levels of training to do; Goku achieved his power level on Namek from 100x Gravity Training, then all the Saiyans achieved their Cell Games power levels through the RoSaT.
After coming home from training in 10x gravity, Tien spent the rest of his life doing the training he was doing at the very start of the series, which is now vastly inferior to what everyone else - including himself - has been doing. It is unlikely that he gained much from it beyond keeping his skills sharp.
As for Krillin, he probably did get weaker, but he would have to get a LOT weaker to close the gap between him and Tien. The last time we get a power reading on Tien is 1,870. Krillin's final power reading is 75,000. Krillin would have to decay to 2.5% of his power level in order to match Tien again, unless we generously assume that Kaio-sama's training did for him what it did for Goku and brought him up to about 8,000. Then Krillin would only have to decay to 10.67%.
Krillin does not just have a slight advantage that can easily be closed by training really hard for a few years with Chiaotzu. There is a phenomenal gap between his power and the other humans. Discounting the Saiyans, Krillin would have been the third-strongest warrior in the entire universe back when Frieza and the Ginyus were alive.

Oh, my bad. The video wasn't loading for me, and the description was poorly worded enough that it made it sound like the 1% of Freeza was what he was basing it on.
I'll watch it when I get the chance.
Also one thing: Nappa can't change his battle power. He was never at 7000.
