It sucks that Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta is preoder bonus only, but if anything, there's now way more of an incentive to pre-order the game now, and that's want Bandai Namco were hoping for. And if it means anything, I was planning on preording the game anyway because I always preorder my games, I'm too lazy these day to go into the stores and by them and fucking buying and installing them digitally. It's all shady business though, no doubt about that, but the gaming industry has been like this for years and will continue to be so. And it's like Dragon Ball games haven't done this in the past.
The game looks so pretty but the SSJ 4 Vegeta preorder bonus has really not gone down well with me and will arguably dominate discussions about the game until it's release.

Ya know, instead of people on other sites bickering towards each other, why don't we just do something big towards Namco to voice against these DLC/Pre-Order practices. Maybe get Harada in on the action because I know he hates this kind of stuff. We don't even have to make it about just Dragon Ball, it could be a whole industry-wide movement. Maybe not as a confusing like the GG ordeal, but just a straight-forward "Stop these business shenanigans, companies."
I don't mean stop the sales of Xenoverse, though, because that game actually looks like it has a ton of promise and Dimps is working hard on making an in-depth Dragon Ball game. I mean like going straight to the source, the publishers who mess with the developers into doing stuff like this, ya know what I mean?

Wow, really?
That sucks. So, shitty transformation mechanics, a preorder-exclusive character, seeming emphasis on customized PVP...
Is anyone else getting disillusioned with Xenoverse?

I was just looking up to see what games Pan was playable in since I thougth she was only in the BT games. But IW, from the video I saw on You Tube, looks more like the regular Budokai games from what I played of them years and years ago
It's very similar to Budokai 3, since it was made for people who didn't have the PS3 or Xbox 360 to get Burst Limit, and most of the new content comes from Arcade games Dimps was working on.
It fixes a huge amount of issues from Budokai 3, including that crappy Hyper Mode (replacing it with the less crappy and less frustrating to play against Aura Burn), and includes new characters. Every character now has an Ultimate, and several characters now have multiple options for their Supers and Ultimate - like Budokai 3, you only have 2 Supers and 1 Ultimate equipped, but now most characters have multiple options for those slots, like Kuririn being able to choose between Kamehameha, Kienzan or Taiyo-ken (Solar Flare) for his 2 super moves.
Really depends on if you like the Budokai series to begin with, though. If you do, then I'd definitely recommend it. It did remove some things from Budokai 3, like beam clashes and Dragon Rush (although removing Dragon Rush is in some ways a good thing) and the story mode isn't as good, but the combat mechanics and capsule system have been greatly improved.
Hm, sounds good. I'll pick it up next month. If nothing else, it's much cheaper than BT 3.
Xenoverse news! Well, not really news, but some new tidbits from this video:
Some Super Vegeta [[note: In this game, Super Vegeta refers to Super Saiyan instead of his bulky form. Likewise his Super Saiyan 2 is referred to as Super Vegeta 2. The descriptions clarify that they're Super Saiyan 1 & 2]] game play, you can see he actually has two Ultimate moves quipped alongside the Super Saiyan transformation. This means the previous idea that you can only have two Ultimates including transformations is wrong, which is a slight improvement.
This might also mean you can have two Ultimates and then one/two transformations, or hopefully, all four button spaces will be unlocked and you can have any combination of transformations and Ultimates on them.
It's still not as good as separating them completely (or having transformations last) but being able to access all of Z Goku's forms would be something, and being able to run all their forms with room for an Ultimate or two would be nice.
Also, the fact that Super Saiyan allows for free Supers and Ultimates and can be done at the start of the match makes it look like it's going to encourage spamming big time. Instead of being unusable it might just be broken... uh... yaaaay?
Actually... thinking about it... yeah what the fuck, if you can run Ultimates alongside it Super Saiyan is objectively better than an Ultimate without it. You have the choice on spending 5 ki on an Ultimate... or 5 ki for a Super Mode and multiple Ultimates.

Saiga I am in need of your expertness again.
How well did FPSSJ Gohan do against Cell? Were they even close? I guess I need to revisit the fight because people are saying Cell amped himself against Gohan, upping his speed or whatever.
Point is, I thought Gohan never stood a chance against Cell without SSJ 2. Then again, SSJ 2 was so far beyond Cell at that point that maybe he didn't need it. I dunno.

Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta will probably become a DLC character. That's how Preorder Content usually works; you get to download the character for free, typically through a special code on the insert of your game case that you can put in at the dashboard to unlock your free download of the content.
I agree that it's bullshitty, though.
