Well logically we were gonna got some info on the movie at some point really.

Here’s what happened, Toriyama was wondering who should be the villain for the new movie, someone recommended Broly on the basis that he is still a generally popular character, this inspired Toriyama to watch his original triology, & thus afterwards he thought “Well this guy looks fun, let’s see if I can fix him up.”

And that’s how Broly came back.

I still don't think purple looks good Broly but maybe it looks better in motion.

So I haven't found the part where SSJ 4 Xeno Goku loses to "Non-Canon Super" Goku Blue. Did this only occurred in the game because I haven't seen in the manga or anime yet.

Yeah, from what I heard it happened in the game because Xeno Goku is a boss fight there.

I wonder why they didn't just have SSGB Goku beat SSJ 4 Goku. I don't think anyone would care that much besides the power level fanbase.

It's only now dawning on me how batshit this whole Broly thing would have sounded just two years ago.

You know, back when Battle of Gods came out, the guy who created Broly said that he thought Beerus looked like a weakling next to Broly, and we all made fun of him for it. Oh, how times change.

The fact that Shulgo didn't believe it at first should tell you something. These are thing we generally laugh at people at for making up in fanfics, and then Toriyama goes and makes it and everyone is calling him a genius lol.

To be fair, this isn't the first time Toriyama has dipped into a fanfic trope either.

Hell, pretty much all of us lampshaded Black as something from a bad fan fiction when we first heard of him.

Was the goku black arc considered that bad overall?

I don't think anyone's calling Toriyama a genius, just that he seems to recognize the problems with Old!Broly and is changing those parts for New!Broly. Now, whether he really does fix those problems is something we'll have to wait and see for.

Well the endings controversial as fuck of course.

the time travel made so little sense they had to make a flowchart on the website. not to mention they traveled back and forth too much between the present and alt future

It's considered one of Super's stronger points.

Which probably says more about Super than it does the arc itself.

Once again, I’ll say those two parts of the ending would have been better served separate with the ending for this story being the first half

Well ya got 2 terrible movie remake arcs in the first half, & in the latter half aside from the Black arc, 2 tournament arcs of varying quality.

So yes it says a lot.
