In any case, the island is called "Monster Island", so I guess one could say that "MIR" means "Monster Island Ranger".

And BlackYakuzu might be on to something regarding Broli being depicted in "restrained" Super Saiyan like form. I've seen some new theories popping up that Broly's necklace might be his power inhibitor this time around.

That I have to agree with. Cell did say they were close to him in power didn't he? Or at the least they have to be much stronger than 17 was back then. It's not a shock her powered up a bit from sparing with them.

One of these things is not like the others, one of these things does not belong, can you tell me which of these things is still a tyrannical sadist who leads an army that subjugates planets and kills the native inhabitants to sell them to other people--who he also will probably kill--and claims to be emperor of the entire universe before I finish this song?

And yet he still teamed up with Goku and co and had a bunch of yuks and then Goku let him go off and resume his empire. In the sense that only Goku's feelings matter, Freeza is now part of the gang.

Yeah, and it's total bullshit, but he's still a villain. In this case, screw Goku's feelings. Even going to Frieza was dumb...though I do admit they didn't have much in the way of options....

Except they could have gone to Namek and used the Namekian balls to wake Buu up if the Earth balls would have taken too long.

Also, they were just keeping their deal with him: Frieza was pragmatic to a degree I didn't think he was capable of (what with actually keeping with his part of the deal). I suppose it took the potential destruction of the universe for him to get some priorities.

That being said, after everything is done, he just goes right back to being a universal hooligan, unlike the others who more or less stopped pulling shit like robbing, wanting to assassinate people, wanting to rule the world, or murdering the hell out of others.

So Frieza...totally still a villain.

I don't think so, Goku knows Frieza is still evil. It's more that the entire gang is amoral enough that they don't care what Frieza does as long as it doesn't affect anyone they know. Well, at that point is it just amoral, or straight up immoral?

Unless the movie ends with Goku rekilling Freeza then I dunno it sounds like he's recurring cast now.

And its not like this is beyond the pale for the series. Vegeta had done nothing to deserve it by the time he became part of the social group.

Oh hey, I just realized Broly's pectoral scar is in the same spot his heart exploded when he died in the second Broly movie. That's a nice reference.

Fair enough. But at least Vegeta didn't fly back into space to murder the hell out of people afterwards.

But yeah, basically explained it. The Z Warriors ain't superheroes. If you ain't coming at them, they don't care what you do.

And since Frieza can't really come at them, without possibly getting killed, he's essentially not a (direct) threat anymore.

Wait, was it just filler that during Vegeta's temper tantrum in space where he finally becomes a super saiyan, he was totally in the middle of flying out into space to kill a bunch of people?

So Broly's new Restrained Super Saiyan form is essentially a green version of False Super Saiyan? Well, it looks cool I guess.

So, uh... Canon Broly looks pretty cool. I guess.

I like New!Broly's look. His chest scar is a lot smaller than what it looked like in the blurry photo. Also, what I thought was alternating hair colors was just lighting. Shame, that would've looked cool. Is it just me, or does Goku and Vegeta's SSB hair look like a darker shade of blue than it usually is?

I really like that 17's island has Cell Jrs on it, and I really want it to also have Saibamen.
