Ok, now I'm truly interested in Xenoverse, though I probably won't buy it immediately when it'll come out.

Where did people get it being the 15th game from? I don't think that's right at all.

Double post because character creation in the menu. We get to change eyes, nose and pupils? Neat!

edit: 3 vs 3 gameplay. You can revive KO'd teammates and the team with the most K Os wins.

Say, is it true Buu isn't actually that much stronger than Cell, just harder to keep down due to his weird body? I read that somewhere on the Wiki but it doesn't seem right to me...

It's impossible to say for certain how, exactly, the various forms of Buu compare to Super Perfect Cell. Exact power measurements are very hard to come by post-Frieza. By the Buu Saga, there's absolutely nothing left to go on other than "Character X won a fight against Character Y."

Fat Buu is stronger than Super Saiyan 2 Gohan who is weaker than the Super Saiyan 2 Gohan that defeated Super Perfect Cell. Fat Buu was obliterated by Majin Vegeta's desperation attack which was the equivalent of Super Saiyan 2 Vegeta, which is an unknown amount stronger than Super Vegeta - we don't know what the multiplier on that form is - in addition to whatever training Vegeta has done over the years making him an uncertain amount stronger, but recomposed himself afterward.

Fat Buu is also stronger than Gotenks in his base form, for which the only thing we know about how he compares to other Saiyans is that he's weaker than Ultimate Gohan.

Really, trying to keep track of how powerful characters are relative to each other becomes an exercise in futility by the time the Buu Saga rolls around - which seems like it's kind of the point, as one overarching theme of the Buu Saga is that the "Power up and get stronger, then win!" tactics are utterly fruitless against Buu.

[up][up] It's possible he's only like twice as strong as Cell in his first on-screen form. The two split halves might be comparable to Cell, anything else? Hell no.

If you believe the energy meter ties to Boo's power level then he's more than double Super Saiyan 2 Gohan's strength.

[up] Missed a few things. Fat Boo also beat up Super Saiyan 2 Vegeta before that point, and Super Vegeta isn't really that relevant here because Vegeta mastered Super Saiyan and so is already above Grade II in regular Super Saiyan. Goku also admits that his Super Saiyan 2 wouldn't cut it against Fat Boo.

Both Goku and Vegeta say Cell wouldn't be a problem for them now.

Buu almost killed guy as strong as Cell (Dabura) with one punch. And that's before he started powering up.

One thing wrong though, mastering Super Saiyan does not make you stronger, it just lets you stay in the form longer due to using the least amount of energy required, which can then be used to power your ki-based attacks. The form still has the same power multiplier as the original, you can just use it better.

Buu is harder to tell because of his regen. It means he seems to get hurt more easily but we have to remember that Buu getting hurt means nothing most of the time. Ultimate Gohan with a few elbows did more damage to Super Buu than SS Gotenks did to him when he reduced him to smoke. So when Buu gets a hole blasted in him or blown to chunks, who's to say if that actually hurt him at all.

But I'm pretty sure both Buu Saga SS 2 Goku and Majin Vegeta are confirmed to be stronger than SS 2 Cell Gmaes Gohan. In any event, I think the only Buu close to Supe rPerfect Cell is Mr. Buu ie. the "Good Buu" that got its ass kicked by Kid Buu. Even then, with all that regen, I'd wager on Mr. Buu.

I actually think after Mr. Buu and Kid Buu separated, Mr. Buu was weaker than he was

Well yeah that's what I meant. It's why I call him Mr. Buu and not Fat Buu. Fat Buu is much stronger. Mr. Buu is in fact by far the weakest Buu incarnation I believe.

[up][up][up][up] I know that it has the same multiplier, but by mastering it the user becomes many times stronger in general. Half of Goku's power blew everyone away when they didn't even know it was half.

[up][up][up] Boo also simply lets himself get blown apart a lot of the time, he has complete control over his body as seen when he turns into liquid.

[up][up]&[up] There's a chance Mr Boo isn't the weakest. The split wasn't the same as the Good/Evil split earlier, with Pure/Kid Boo having none of the Kaioshin traits that the Grey Boo had. So if all the Kaioshin stuff went into Good Boo, then as Mr Boo he could've been stronger. He puts up a much better fight against Pure Boo than he does against Grey Boo.

[up]This is true. He was hanging in there for a while. It was essentially two nigh invincible monsters beating the shit out of each other.

It looks like Mr. Buu is about equal with Kid Buu, but just like Super Saiyan 3 Goku, Kid just seems to have greater energy reserves.

Eh, I definitely wouldn't say they're equal. It doesn't really make sense for Pure Boo to just have better energy reserves.

Like, in the panel they're both exchanging blows, Pure Boo is laughing and Mr Boo's expression is strained. He was able to keep up on some level, but it took more effort due to the difference in strength.

Do you have a complete list of Boo forms, Saiga? I'm kinda losing track here...

This is a good guide although it lacks pictures and doesn't mention either of Boo's Piccolo absorbed forms.

If you want to be literal:

  • Fat Buu
  • Evil Buu
  • Super Buu
  • Buuccolotenks
  • Buuhan
  • Kid Buu
  • Mister Buu

If you want to be chronological:

  • Kid Buu (original form)
  • Buff Buu (after absorbing one Kai)
  • Fat Buu (after absorbing Grand Supreme Kai)
  • Evil/Skinny Buu (absorbed the bulk of Buu's power after Zant killed Hercule)
  • Super Buu (merged with Fat Buu, reclaiming his lost power)
  • Buutenks (absorbed Piccolo and Gotenks)
  • Buucolo (Gotenk's fusion ran out, leaving Piccolo's power dominant)
  • Buuhan (absorbed Gohan)
  • Kid Buu (after losing all prior absorptions, including Fat Buu)
  • "Mister Buu" (the Fat Buu who lost a good chunk of his power, but now has his own body)

Here's a list of the supers and ultimates in the beta, with a ton more coming soon:

The best super in this game is most likely Yamcha's death pose. Kinda weird you have to equip ki-charging though.

Also, if the trailer is any indication, your custom character can learn around 200 of these special moves and over 400 pieces of clothing if I remember correctly. Way more than Ultimate Tenkaichi if I remember correctly.

Well, Burst Limit didn't have ki charging at all, and the ki system seems similar here. So it was made an optional skill.

Did they give the Death Pose special to Yamcha before? If so, that's just sad and hilarious

I think I remember that. Fat Buu and Super Buu were called "Baby Buu" and "Adult Buu" amongst the fandom, resulting in speculation that there must be a Kid Buu form.

But that was here in the States. I don't know if Japan had a similar experience.
