- Hey, it'd do for Piccolo what the Japanese dub did for Goku
.
RE: unique human traits - maybe humans can have a wider variety of innovative techniques than Saiyans. Never saw any Saiyans coming up with Spirit Balls, paralysis techs, Solar Flares or Destructo Discs. More control over the shape and function of their attacks.

Well, the Saiyans had the Full Moon ball, but I see your point.
I'm trying to remember which technique originated on Earth: the ability to raise and lower battle power, or the ability to Sense energy?
Then again, I think both actually came from Namek and were taught to the Earth fighters. I've never been sure.
One Strip! One Strip!Well, the Namekians live on nothing but water, and their planet seems to have no other life on them but frogs, so, nothing to eat. But between that and the green skin, it's at least feasible.
My various fanfics. It looks like most of the bodies of water on Namek are part of an ocean, so they might be salt water.
My various fanfics.So here's a funny thing:
Name all the named martial arts techniques up until the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai (the one that Goku won) that weren't taught to the main characters by someone else. In other words, techniques they came up with on their own.
So stuff like the Kamehameha and the like don't count.
The list is pretty small from what I can tell. In fact, if I'm right, you'd surprised at who has the most self developed techniques.
That is, if I'm right, cause there's the possibility that most of what I think were taught were actually invented independently.
One Strip! One Strip!Uhhh....Nam's Iron Cross...thingy.
The Dragon with the gum laser.
The stinky guy's....stink.
My various fanfics.
....Didn't think of those ones.
Ok. Let's narrow that to MAIN or recurring characters.
One Strip! One Strip! No. That's pretty much it.
Where did the Volley ball fist come from again? Supposedly it's a Tien move, but that just seems so unlike him.
One Strip! One Strip!
It's from his match against Kid Goku. He was kind of more twisted back then.

Oh right. I was reminded of it while watching the 2008 special again.
Anyway, that special made me realized that up until the aforementioned 23 tournament, the only two named attacks used by main characters that weren't taught to them by their masters are the Wolf Fang Fist, and the aforementioned Volleyball attack.
Kinda funny.
Edit: Oh right, I forgot about Tien's multi-arm technique.
That's still only three.

One Strip! One Strip!Yeah a 50x multiplier wouldn't do shit for the humans. The gap between their base and the Saiyan's base was far greater than 50x - literally being over 1000x with the last recorded battle powers. You could just ignore that and make them catch up through mountain training, but if you do that the Super Saiyan multiplier is no longer an obstacle since you've already taken such great liberties.

I thought it was something like that.
I can't remember who said it, but maybe the humans have to focus on the quality of their techniques.
Krillin needs to learn to control the direction of his Destructo Disk / Kienzan like Frieza did.
And Tien needs to try stuff like
this
, and
this
.
Since they don't have the raw power of other races, they need to focus on making their techniques more unique. Stuff that bypasses pure physical power, or renders it useless.
That might be the key to making humanity relevant.
There's also Android technology as well, take advantage of that, combine it with actually martial arts technique.
The resources and abilities of Earth may be lacking to the rest of the universe on their own, but maybe by combining everything they have, they can close the gap that way.
Edit: Yeah, I know, it's multiverse, but there were some good ideas here, and I don't want to toss them out because people dislike the comic. I don't think it's perfect either, but it does have some interesting stuff.

One Strip! One Strip!Double Kikoho = useless. It's just increasing the power and that's something that won't work for them. If using four hands is even something that would do that.
Freeza's more than a thousand times stronger than Kuririn and look how useful controlling the disks was for him. Goku easily dodged two of them, one of which while he was still in base.
And who even knows what the Mafuba would work on? It wasn't really elaborated on beyond being made to seal demons which there are none of. Also, not much reason to assume it completely ignores power either.
The humans aren't going to be competitive with the Saiyans. If a story wants to make use of them then it can either give them non-combat relevance or opponents on their level that the others are too pre-occupied to fight (or just don't make the battles world-threatening to warrant bringing out the strong fighters).

Imagine making a super buff Namekian with a child-like voice.
