Reading Goku disappearing vs Krillin is such a better experience than watching it. The sound design is really important to that scene, and the anime botches it by having his footsteps be the big overblown jumping sound effect. In the manga, the sound effect only indicates it as being a faint, getting slowly louder tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap BOO!

Poor, poor 17.
He made a valiant sacrifice as bizarre as it was.
Its a better sacrifice though cause unlike Vegeta he actually appears to suffer consequences for it. God I can't believe were gonna waste another episode on Vegeta having a last stand.
Like the Final in Final Flash the Last in Last Stand no longer has meaning.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Kuririn never really gains the upper hand, only appears to and it all ends up being bullshit.
So there's a lot of confusion when it comes down to that final battle in the arc.
That's not what happens. Goku doesn't want to kill Piccolo because God will die as well, not because God was inside Piccolo.
Then Kuririn mentions that they can wish back Goku with the Dragon Balls, because it hadn't been established yet that God dying will render the balls inert. Goku figures that out later, on his own.

Yes. He still looks cool and does cool things. Not the weaker parties' fault that the stronger party could be much stronger. Anyone who puts up a fight against the Saiyans in their lower forms still can look good doing it. Freeza having infinitely higher forms on Namek doesn't mean the people who fought him in his lower forms didn't look cool while doing so.

The difference is, while Piccolo is holding back he gets impressed by Kuririn, even after he accidentally hits him harder than he intended and Kuririn shakes it off.
Like neither fight is amazing which I'm fine with because it's Kuririn, the 23rd is just more enjoyable and sells the impression a lot better.
Piccoro is worse at holding back than Kakarrot.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Yeah know if we do get another show after Super ends that continues the apparent plot-lines like the exploration of the renaming 4 universes and Zeno & the God's cruelty Jiren would make a good ally.
I say might cause this is a big what-if & only if they were willing to inject more people do stuff than just Goku & Vegeta. God I miss Z's cast shake-up.

I know it be awesome.....
But that, that's the problem.
They can't even handle Vegeta well. Its just constant repetition of the what the character went though for sheer lazy milking. We've had to go through him making a last stand around 3 times this whole arc with only a small handful of episodes in between each. Do we really need another episode of him getting his ass beat by Jiren?

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Jiren: And that's my backstory.
Belmod: Truly, a sad one.
Android 17: I don't know, seems pretty lame to me.
Belmod: What? Do you even have any idea what tragedy is?
Android 17: Well, my father was a drinker, and some old hag turned me and my sister into killing machines, and some monster ate us to destroy the planet.
Belmod: Well, that's...
Krillin: I was bullied in school.
Belmod: That's not...
Piccolo: My father was the evil half-of god, and he forced me to avenge him, following a fate I didn't want.
Belmod: Wait, your father was a god?
Roshi: My master was killed by a demon.
Jiren: Oh, yours too?
Roshi: Yeah, but I got over it.
Gohan: The King of demons captured me for world domination after my uncle killed my dad.
Piccolo: Sup?
Belmod: What the...
Vegeta: My whole planet and race was destroyed by that asshole over there.
Jiren: Why are you still working for him?
Vegeta: Survival, you moron!
Goku: I killed my grandpa with a transformation I wasn't even aware I had.
Jiren: Dude, that's sad. So, what is that guy backstory?
Frieza: I don't have one, I simply enjoy being evil and making annoying call backs to better sagas.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.17 is totally alive. I mean, they had a plan whose entire goal was "make Jirn not see the attack coming" but looked like a lazy rehash at first glance. And what a better way to make a surprise attack then by attacking with someone the enemy thought was dead. Goku and Vegeta probaby played being out of energy and Goku instant transmissioned 17 out of sight after he cancelled the attack.
Also is it me but the lady next to the evil being in the flashback looked like android 21?

You can probably word the wish to bring everyone who died/disappeared/perished/lost/whatever during the tournament.
Edit: I liked Krillin's fights because I liked Super trying to legitimize the other fighters, even though in the back of my mind I think "It's too late for that".
