That's not sad, that's pretty natural.

Filler characters having more to give than actual official character? That sounds pretty depressing to me.
I do think the fanbase exaggerate what happened to Chi-Chi though, because Chi-Chi was honestly never a particularly impressive martial artist. Actually, same for Videl, because Videl just never had the slightest chance of getting up to any appreciable level by the time she was introduced.
For 18 though, there's no excuse.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"When said "canon" character was a "gag" character to begin with, it's not that depressing.
But she is the best DB.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Actually, having recently finished the first tournament saga from the original series, Launch was already like a housewife in that saga. She prepared the boys & Roshi meals and even clean up the house.
On that note, out of all the DB series. Does everyone on this thread think the original series is the least flawed/best written out of all the Dragon Ball shows?
I definitely think so. There are definitely some missteps it makes (Ultra Divine Water, for instance) but on the whole I think it defies a lot of the stagnation that set in with the DBZ period mid Freeza saga.
It should be noted that the Manga is just one continuous thing, and it's more of a pre-/post- time skip deal.

Watch SymphogearI'm starting to wonder if Vegeta has a chance to win this. Reminds of that Japanese poll I read last year. It was a small sample but it says a good number fans wanted Freeza followed by Vegeta to win the To P.
35 year old white man.So, did Gotenks actually stay fused longer in the HTC? Or was he still only fused for a real-world half hour?
My various fanfics.Getting more serious though, what even was the point of having Vegeta due his whole self-destruct thing? I don't see how that was actually necessary to toss Toppo off. And, well, the explanation for how he survived it doesn't make any sense. Wasn't the entire point of that was that he was using up all of his energy and that's what killed him in the first place? Because if he's doing that again, him just being stronger shouldn't somehow let him survive blowing off all of his energy.
It's just seems like a really weird attempt to invoke emotion, that really wasn't set up right. Unlesss they were going for "Vegeta thinks of his family, so he should use that technique he used the last time he thought of his family".
Yeah, he shouldn't have survived what is basically a self-destruct attack.
That really sounds so doomb.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Well, honestly it's no more stupid than characters surviving:
- Mafuba
- Kikoho
- Kaioken X 20 repeated use
- Blue Kaioken repeated use

Everything's trivial...
