So, according to people who have tallied the eliminations, Universe 7 has eliminated 52 of the fighters in the Tournament of Power.
I kind of had a feeling something like this was going to happen before the arc started, but I thought they'd at least try to reign the number in a bit.
...and then Frieza just casually restores the destroyed universes and lets everybody get back to their lives. With all his ambitions fulfilled, all his grudges meaningless, and no possible resistance to mount against his power, he sees little reason to be a feared dictator, so he just kinda becomes a chill laissez-faire god and everybody lives happily ever after. Aside from Christmas being forcibly renamed Frieza Day.
I'd be okay with this.

Did Top-Man lose? If so, that'd be a good wish.
Since Vermoud is planning on retiring and Toppo is probably going to be U11's next GoD, I was thinking that (if all of the universes are revived) Toppo tries giving Jiren leadership of the Pride Troopers. Jiren will then probably decline since he's not much of a leader, so Toppo then gives the job to Dyspo.
I mean, he was the only one left who still clang onto justice, plus it would be a touching moment.

Ehhhhhh...
Like, there were nice songs, but the music never shut up. There were never appropriate quiet moments. It was always just bouncing between blaring tunes, and it felt really jarring.
Pretty much. Mistare Fusion gave a good summary of him in his videos. It sucks how he basically just existed to be a quick power-up for Piccolo.

Dragon Ball didn't have the Z dub music problem...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. He could've been more aggressive...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Didn't Jiren initially refuse to join the T.o.P. in the manga? Even with his universe on the line he wasn't willing to compromise his values until the wish was dangled in front of him. Someone like that would certaintly not approve of his leader/friend going "justice is worthless" and becoming a force of destruction.
Based on the manga, he isn't willing to kill these other universes correct? Which fits with him only stepping in when shit is too real.

Ah but ya see my friend the anime has not given indication of any of that.
We shouldn't be using the manga as crutch especially if things turn out differently there.
I will not assume things unless I see/read or hear them with my own two fucking eyes or ears.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I liked this episode, for the most part. The opening was heavily padded, and a "what the hell, Jiren!?" was had, but Vegeta's fight was pretty cool. I would have preferred the Gamma Burst Flash over the Final Explosion (because why would he use the Final Explosion!?), but they sold it well enough. They clearly just wanted to set it up so that half of the U7 team would stand against Jiren in the end.
Man, I never imagined 17 would make it to the end-game. Like, whoa. Someone in Toei loves this guy.
Oh yeah, and Toppo's discarding justice spiel felt really pointless. I mean, he got a power-up, so that's something, but he just kept fighting like he was. He was just stronger. It felt like artificial drama and/or character development for the sake of making the penultimate battle feel more substantial.

Ya know something I noticed that doesn't help is the shift of combatants halfway through the episode.
Look at Dyspo's final fight. First half he battles Frieza then Gohan suddenly appears & its all about him. Its a jarring shift that doesn't give Gohan's fight enough room to breathe which doesn't help that the episode was titled Gohan's last stand despite mostly being about Frieza.
The same happened here, first half was about 17 & Frieza then latter half Vegeta suddenly appears. I can now understand complaints of rushing because it is kinda rushed. Like the ending of the fight was just a curb-stomp battle in Vegeta's favor & that's just boring honestly.
The shifting of opponents really shouldn't happen mid-way through an episode with the fight resolved at the end of said episode.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Lol if the product was "good." Do you enjoy sitting on that high horse?
@ Ikedatakeshi4th Yeah, because whining about an anime not going the way you want is such a benefit to society. Very poor use of sarcasm.

Then he is a self-righteous twat. Newsflash, he wouldn't need to do that if you got of your ass.
