You didn't. Son of Sharknado did, agreeing with what you initially said about Hanasia.
I initially linked to Faux Action Girl because that, to me, would be a poorly-written strong, independent woman, as Sharknado put it. Nikkolas then added to it, and I admitted that while my use of the trope may have been wrong in this context, I still disagreed with calling Hanasia a poorly-written strong, independent woman based solely on what you'd originally said.
Well what I replied to was basically: Hanasia is a bad character because she takes up the spotlight in that special, is a grating character, and her purpose is pure self-indulgence. How should I reply to that? I could say she doesn't take up too much spotlight, isn't grating, and isn't self-indulgent - count page numbers, argue definitions of self-indulgence and what makes a character grating. Wouldn't get us anywhere. True, I could've ignored the point entirely.
No, that's not what I was talking about. To me, a poorly written strong female character is when there is nothing to them BUT the fact that they are strong. And that they cannot emote or be vulnerable or likeable, because they are supposed to be strong.

So if this is all one large a-do about nothing, and we all agree to have different perceptions on a character, and we all agree to disown Gine, I will be satisfied to shut the hell up.
I still just plain don't get DBH. I mean, what is it. It's like a... AR trading card game, right?

x6 ...What
But Takao Koyama must be getting off immensely from that monstrosity.
In more encouraging Dragon Ball video game related news... this.
The more I hear about Xenoverse more excited I get. But I can't get too excited or I may ending resenting the game if isn't perfect. That was the case with Burst Limit and I don't want a repeat of that.
They openly acknowledged that Battle of Z sucked? That's reassuring.

...I can't tell if the Sarcasm Mode pothole was referring to the sarcastic "great" or saying that the sarcastic "great" was in fact said sarcastically/ironically/something.
IGN did a review of Battle Of Gods and gave it a 7.5 out of 10
:
- Pros
- Incredible fight scenes
- Excellent voice acting
- Gorgeous animation
- Cons
- Lack of iconic techniques
- Too much filler
- Underwhelming conclusion
The review as whole is pretty well written and balanced but I gotta call bullshit on the whole issue with the "Lack of iconic techniques" and "Underwhelming conclusion" cons against the movie. The whole point of the ending of Battle Of Gods wasn't to underwhelm anyone, it was essentially a Sequel Hook and criticizing the movie for not featuring all of the iconic Dragon Ball techniques is just ridiculous. 90% percent of the DBZ movies end with a Kamehameha or a Spirit Bomb.
I can agree with the argument against the film having too much filler, but this is Dragon Ball Z were talking about, the show that made filler an art form.
In my opinion Battle Of Gods was a refreshing change of tone and pace to what were usually severed when it come to Dragon Ball Z. It was more lighthearted, silly and campy when it wanted to be and embraced it but also had really great fight scenes. It reminded me more of the oldschool Dragon Ball, which I feel is superior in many departments to its counterpart Dragon Ball Z. But that's like saying I prefer The Dark Knight over the The Dark Knight Rises, both are very enjoyable for what they provide however one has a few more notable merits over the other.
I'd give Battle Of Gods two thumbs up. And can't I wait for it's sequel! ![]()

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerI find slightly amusing how Vegeta has slowly been becoming the Butt-Monkey of the series.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.
he deserves it a little for the shit he's pulled. That being said:
Funny thing is, knowing the context of this scene, it's also kinda Crowning Moment Of Awesome for him. He's gone from someone who was so hell bent on being the strongest, he endangered the Earth multiple times, to throwing away his pride (the only thing he has left of his Saiyan heritage) to save the whole Earth.....
Plus, it's pretty fucking funny. At least to me.

And FOFD your response on Faux Action Girl makes absolutely no sense... I never said Hanasia was the worst way to write any female character, but one that is actually strong.
Anyway when you replied to one of my points with just "subjective" I'm going to have to ask if you're aware that everything we both wrote in those posts is 100% subjectivity?
