Yeah, but I feel like a Superman voice actor would be able to inject so much needed personality in all of Jiren's lines just with inflection and tone. Like, I'm just imagining Jiren's line that there's no purity in Vegeta's self-righteous arrogance in the same voice as the "World of Cardboard" Speech and it's honestly giving me chills.
And people complain about Goku's new forms am I right?
I'm sure George Newbern could pull it off if he used his Sephiroth voice. I'm thinking of his voicing in Superman vs The Elite where Superman scared the shit outta The Elite he deepened his voice to a very calm & menacing tone that I think would fit Jiren.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."![]()
Two forms 3 episodes apart, at that. If Sparkly Blue only exists to let Vegeta fight alongside Kaio-ken Goku, now is the stupidest time to introduce it since this is probably the last time Goku is using Kaio-ken before getting UI for realsies. And it happened the second major arc after Goku debuted Blue, at the very tail end of the arc.
Sparkly Blue is a bad idea made worse if he ends up getting UI in the same fight.
You know, I actually like the no fucks given anime Jiren and I don't care one bit about the boy scout manga Jiren, so I can't relate to some of you guys on that.
Dyspo, manhandling Freeza was hilarious.
This is all just padding anyway, since it will quite obviously come down to Mastered Ultra Instinct Goku vs Jiren, after everyone else is eliminated. And they will probably destroy the arena in the process.

You can give no fucks but also be a boy scout you know.
Okay finally watched the episode & I gotta say while the art was nice I was disappointed it was actually Vegeta pulling a Vegeta instead of holding the line. I want him out of the tournament now for pulling that shit cause he has proven he is a true arrogant dumbass. I didn't like how the episode was padded with the constant unneeded exchanges from the peanut gallery.
The other fights are pretty great though.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."What do you mean, what do you mean Vegeta pulling a Vegeta? Vegeta looked at Jiren, analyzed his fighting style in mere moments, and scored the best hit anyone got on him all day. Heck, Vegeta's actually fighting smart - going full power right off the bat, baiting Jiren - smarter than Son Walks-right-up-to-his-opponent-ku, at least.
Sure he got knocked down a peg (again) but Vegeta is carrying this team.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I'm sure George Newbern could pull it off if he used his Sephiroth voice. I'm thinking of his voicing in Superman vs The Elite where Superman scared the shit outta The Elite he deepened his voice to a very calm & menacing tone that I think would fit Jiren.
I'm the one of the few that doesn't like UI/Omen. The idea of an transformation that's stronger than multiplier that's already stack on a multiplier is way too much to handle.
Regarding Newbern's performance Sephiroth, Sephiroth is a very soft-spoken character even before he became villain. I wouldn't necessary mind but Jiren's voice is very deep. That's all I can judge by the performance of his seiyu.
I actually happen to like Jiren the way he is & I'm not the kind of person that's going to differentiate the manga & the anime depiction.
Blue Kaioken and Super Saiyan Rage are both anime-exclusive and failed to achieve anything.
Also, Vegeta is not in denial about Goku being inferior to him, nor on a power trip where he deems everything else as inferior. He wants to keep improving, he wants to be the best. He knows Goku is ahead of him, but still wants to keep improving.
I say that is quite in-character.
By your logic, Mastered Super Saiyan Blue failed to accomplish anything either if we're going by what they've beaten.
I notice you tend to put down the Anime a lot to prop up the manga, and while you're free to voice your preferences, Both mediums kind of have their share off issues.
I thought we moved past which was "better"
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Vegeta outright said he is the number one in the universe.
That is an outright bald faced lie. Goku is superior than him in every conceivable way, that is genuine fact.
The one singular thing Vegeta is better at than Goku is being a door-stopper for the antagonists.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
(3) Kaioken Blue and Super Saiyan Rage both accomplished as much as every other form of Super Saiyan did - being flashy and cool until the next form came along.
Vegeta's not going to waste time being politically correct every time he talks down to someone. He's just boasting.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I don't know: Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2 both beat the shit out of the dude they were used against pretty handily. It was three where flaws started to overcome any form of utility.
One Strip! One Strip! You say that as if multipliers have any inherent meaning. Like, if a power level is "2" and then gets multiplied by 100, and then that gets multiplied by 100, that only puts the character in the ball park of early Namek Vegeta. Multipliers are meaningless without reference to what they're multiplying. All in of this means is that the Omen form is an even bigger multiplier/something else is going on that surpasses the god forms and Kaioken.

Superman is a charismatic All-Loving Hero while Jiren is the silent type that follows orders hence why Toppo is the leader of the pride troopers.
I personally think Brian Bloom would be the choice, although it's most likely Jiren will be voice by Patrick Seitz.
