In-Universe rules don't have to apply to real life...but should still make sense...In-Universe.

They're not even remotely similar. Realism is a very specific art movement about defying romanticism and portraying people in accurate/truthful ways. It's completely removed from Dragon Ball.
Something being realistic in-universe has nothing to do with how realistic the series is to our world, it's about the story beats being believable.
Anyway, on the episode: Some really well drawn art in this episode. Shame it couldn't also be well written. I can't bring myself to care about this fight when it's been near twenty episodes since Jiren dominated Kaio-ken x20 Goku with ease. Nothing Vegeta does here is going to impress me. Hey look, he's doing the final flash again. Hey look, it did absolutely nothing. And they dragged it out so much for such an inevitable result. I'm with Arha, please let Vegeta retire. They can't get his character right at all - he's calling himself number one again, the final nail in the coffin of his character reversion - they don't do anything interesting with him, they have him worf in spots where it isn't effective, and everything they do with him is just too predictable. I'm not really interested in his new form, if it's his Kaio-ken equivalent then it is coming in waaay too late to matter.
Oh, it was fun seeing Dyspo use Freeza's tail against him and beat him up in a pretty brutal way. Really redeeming your earlier performance.

Yea, the Pride Troopers are kind of making up for literally doing nothing for most of the tournament. They really did have a right to be a bit arrogant about their strength.
I wonder why Dypso was so worried about fighting Freeza, he's handling himself pretty well.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.So after the blatant Frieza saga shout outs in Goku's fight with Jiren, we now have a Cell saga shout out with Vegeta using the final flash against a much stronger opponent, but similarly to Goku, he falls much shorter than he did before.
Hell, at least he managed to actually damage Cell a bit, and in fact, had he landed it clean, he'd have possibly killed him.
The best he was able to do with Jiren is get him to say it was slightly impressive.
One Strip! One Strip!Since the manga is giving Jiren more character, I hope it does something like say the reason Jiren sits around all the time and doesn't knock everybody out instantly is because he feels ringing someone out might as well be killing them. If you think about it, the only people he's rung out were Maji Kayo (a sadist who was going to cut Dyspo's ears off) and Hit (assassin who kills people).
Yeah. I can only guess as to why Toei has held back so much with him.
Did Toriyama really give them so little to work with, or did they just botch things?
I know it would be easy to assume the latter, but we can't totally rule out the former.
Edit: Dumb question: What was Krillin's post Guru Power Level again?
It was supposed to be about 75 000 right?

One Strip! One Strip!Until it's revealed that he wants to use the Super Dragonballs to further his planet selling operation, mwuhahaha.
Watching Vegeta get pummeled is pretty boring. Yes, we get it, he sucks, can we do something else now? Also, I just realized I can barely remember anything he's done this entire time except save Cabba, let Katopesla punch him and nurse his inferiority complex.

Very much yes. Right now, due to Toriyama's desire to put an element of Poison in Goku's character (too much damned poison in fact), he's arguably more on the morally white side than Goku.
Now if only we'd get a bit more of that side in the anime.
One Strip! One Strip!Jiren as a genuine good person can offer a lot potential in the dynamic he can have with Goku.
The fact he turned down the tournament with no interest to even go out fighting shows that to him his powers are all a means to an end. He does not appear to enjoy combat, to him his limitless power is just to protect the people of his universe. He essentially follows the philosophy of "With great power, comes great responsibility."
Like if Goku asks him for a sparring match I can see Jiren turning him down on the grounds he doesn't really like fighting & it be a waste of time disappointing Goku which will be a funny thing to see.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I like that the Goku and Vegeta vs Jiren fight appears to be escalating in power over time similar to Goku vs the U6 Saiyan girls. This episode was SSB Goku and SSB Vegeta vs Jiren, next episode appears to be SSB KK Goku and SSB2 Vegeta vs Jiren, and you just know that Ultra Instinct is probably going to show up in the episode after that.

Goku throws caution to the wind and Freeza's up to his old tricks. Looks like Vegeta might get Ultra Instinct in response to God of Destruction Toppo.

I too like these episodes being extremely repetitive after a set of very recent episodes and that they chose to follow the model of one of the most poorly paced out fights of this arc.
I wonder how genuine Freeza is about betrayal. Things are now down to the point where he could think Universe 11 will definitely win, or he might think his best bet is to trick Universe 11 and then backstab them so U 7 win.

I wonder if Manga-Jiren will be really annoyed by Goku & Vegeta.
