Regarding characters screwing up: Goku makes frequent mistakes as a consequence of overestimating his companions, Vegeta makes frequent mistakes as a consequence of overestimating himself, Krillin doesn't use his kienzan when he should and frequently misses, Gohan turns into Vegeta whenever he's powered up, Chiaotzu's self-destruct causes FAR more harm to himself than others, etc.
Really, what this boils down to is that everyone tends to screw up. There's a lot of personality that goes into their battle plans, and a lot of personal failings that slip in as well. Naturally, this means things don't always work out as planned.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.
...in the eyes of a person who probably only watched maybe a dozen episodes of the show at best. I'd just like to point out that Goku and Vegeta faced each other twice in the show and Goku never won once. But if that image is meant to indicate the difference in strength between the two, then it's pretty spot on... from the Cell Games to then end of Majin Boo Arc and some of the movies.

What, you took something like this seriously? Why, that's unheard of!
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseYa know, Roshi blowing up the Moon at the 21st Tournament isn't quite as much of a stretch or "outlier" as some call it as I had thought.
Goku's Normal PL: 418
When Charging Kamehameha: Over 924
So, assuming Roshi can get almost an equivalent boost from a Max Power Kamehameha, he should have been put somewhere around the early Z Piccolo who casually hand blasted the Moon away.
It all makes sene now.
- I wonder what it's like being a mangaka when you find out that your manga is being turned into an anime, and you have executive producer/consultant/director status over it.
- Good lord, any guesses on what the new Z film will be like?
- Increased the action scenes by a lot? Good. Yo!Son Goku and Battle of Gods were kind of lacking in that area. But... didn't Toriyama "swear off" action manga/action in general? Guess he changed his mind, or maybe since he's not directly drawing/animating the film, just sketching and plotting perhaps?
You know... I have been wondering something for a while now.
From where came the Fan Theory that Fasha
was Goku's mother?

I'd post the image here if I knew how.
