He was completely immobile. At best he could do that absurd glare to block attacks aimed at him but even then the ground beneath him could be destroyed.
Also, I don't know what they were talking about when they called that a time freeze because that was clearly paralysis.

Jiren wouldn't have even needed to use the glare. Their attacks would've done literally nothing. Cabba would be stopped by Jiren's aura, Caulifla would do no damage, Kale might be able to give him a gentle massage with her strongest punches. Not to mention, Jiren was holding back substantially when Goku forced him to use one finger in SSG, and he was gritting his teeth and straining to move in Hit's time-freeze. It's possible that all three Saiyans would've been stopped just by Jiren's aura at that point.
Yeah, but no-one strong enough to take him out was nearby. Also, it's only for a few seconds, but you can see that Hit's time-freeze wasn't a thing affecting only Jiren, but it was a sphere of stopped time around Jiren. Any attempts to knock him out would've just gotten caught and stopped in the same field, and Jiren was certainly faster than any blasts the Saiyans could've thrown. The scary part was Jiren just walking out of a time-stop.

He tried. That was what he was doing with the ki blast. He realized that his technique wasn't going to last until the end of the tournament and he tried eliminating Jiren using a point-blank ki blast. He just didn't expect Jiren to stop him with just a glare.
Hit's power isn't controlling time, just stopping it. The Cage of Time is just him putting a area of stopped time away from himself.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I'm surprised that the Top 10 favorite Dragon Ball characters in Japan are, in order: Bardock, Vegeta, Broly, Goku, 18, 17, Gohan, Freeza, Paragus, and Goku Black. Especially at Bardock being at the top and the Android twins being as high as they are, above even Gohan.
Another surprise: Yamcha beating TONS of supposed fan-favorites, such as Beerus, Hit, Vegetto, Tenshinhan, Cell, Zamasu, Whis, Bulma, Mr. Satan, Jiren, Krillin, Buu, and Roshi. Hell, Yamcha got more votes than many of these characters did COMBINED.
Also, Colonel Violet getting on the list AT ALL is weird, even if she got less than 0.1% of the vote.

On "why didn't Cabba, Caulifla, and Kale knock Jiren off the stage", Goku couldn't even touch him until he used SS2, and he couldn't even make him use one finger until he used SSG. Cabba, Caulifla, and Kale are all substantially weaker than SSG, even if Kale went Berserk. Their attacks would all do absolutely nothing to Jiren, and would just be a waste of energy.
Also, when Jiren started walking forward in the frozen time, Hit did try knocking him out of the ring. That was the whole point of jumping down to hit him with the ki blast. Jiren just managed to overpower time itself.
