I thought it would've been a great touch if Aniraza took out one of Universe 11's fighters as well (read: Dyspo), especially when they make a point of having him attack them in the beginning. And the last, big enemy before the final fight with the final two universes being a threat so big that they both have to team up to face it before each other is such a no-brainer plot that I'm almost surprised they didn't use it and instead went with this arc's usual "a fight happens, and nobody else does anything of note."
And there's little progression to it all: Aniraza goes straight from the punches that had the heroes on the ropes to the big flashy attack that left him open to being defeated like he was a video game boss or something, skipping over any scene in which the heroes actually figure out how to tackle the punches and maybe force him into it instead. He basically just up and decides to lose.

....Yeah I just realized: How many K Os were there from people who weren't U6&7? It's like everyone lined up to be beaten by 7 one by one and there was very few if any interuptions or backstabbing anywhere.
He didn't really have much of a choice there. At that point it was either join in or get crushed when the rest of his team is eliminated.
That being said, barring 17 (who can't run out of energy), Frieza is probably the freshest member of universe 6; he's barely used any power at all, mostly focusing on fighting weaker guys and staying out of the big fights. The closest he came to doing something is when he tried to target Kale and Caulifa, and Goku actually stopped him from doing that. Between that and the fact that he's barely used his golden form (which doesn't chug energy) and he's gotta have the most gas in the tank sans Toppo and Jiren.
As for Vegeta managing to give Jiren a tough time...meh, as long as it looks like a good fight.
One Strip! One Strip!See, this is why I liked the U6 arc. It was just a flat out team on team fight. If the To P wanted to be an all out melee it should have been an all out melee .
On a similar note, thus far what has everyone's favourite (or least hated, if that is the case) Super arc?
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"I mean, I really did love this fight up until the point where it becomes obvious the writers didn't give a shit.
Everything about Aniraza, imo, is really cool: the fact that he can perfectly sense where people are without needing to sense ki, the fact that he can warp spacetime to punch wherever he wants to (the montage of them getting their shit wrecked was hysterical), him revealing that he's capable of flight (which turned out to be extra pointless). Even him nearly eating 18 (again - what, would that have been the third instance of her getting eaten by someone?) seemed cool before it turned out to be a cheap damsel moment, because the idea that would've been circumventing the rules by going full Chronos and eating his enemies instead had potential.
He's one of the coolest designed antagonists in the arc, imo. Even though he might be the biggest antagonist in the entire franchise (was Hirudegarn bigger? I can't tell) and would take up most of the stage just by sheer size, I want him in Fighter Z somehow.
It's just that none of it actually goes anywhere or seems to matter, and all that potential is wasted. This is the kind of character who should get an arc dedicated to them, and instead he gets ten insincere minutes. They could've at least cut an episode out of one of the earlier fights that dragged on forever and given this guy one more.

You think with this arc lasting till March they could have given him an episode or two.
And then you remember the Saiyan Girls had multiple episodes to themselves about their fight with Goku that was just amounted to another showing of UI.
Makes you realize what Tohei's priorities are.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Hatchiyack: Tides of Destiny is pretty much a movie villain condensed into one episode.
