She's the only female, which means she's got more garb.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. She also doesn't have the DB female face...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.A few pages back, while Bergamo's giant transformation is similar to the Great Namek form, the way it is achieved is quite different. Bergamo has to be inflicted with damage to grow stronger, as with the average warrior Namekian they can just will themselves to any size. Plus they do have other forms, such as Namekian Fusion, Super Namekian, Red-Eye Namekian and now Blue-Eye Namekian!
Also, my favorite gods are Beerus, Quitela and Liqour.

In order.
Iwen is a furball, so unless there description of him looking like Shiva underneath is actually revealed, then he's the most boring so far.
Heles looks more Egyptian in comparison, and is really unconventional when compared to other DB females.
Mosco is a robot. Probably something like Magetta. Even his team look more designed than him.
Quitela. Worst design.
Arack. I actually like this one. While not conventionally attractive and initially off-putting, his description and showing in the manga makes it likely that Toyotaro was going for an old fasting monk.
Champa is basically fat Beerus, more for comedy then intimidating.
Beerus is the best designed one.
Liquiir is fine. Kind of cool.
Rumsshi is fine. I initially though he would be more of a wise old guy though.
Everyone goes gaga over Belmod for some reason, and that every clown character has to be a reference to Joker. It's not really that great, and I think they could have gone further with the clown design.
Geene. Fish guy. Seems like one of Frieza goons.
Been a lot of stuff so far that I missed.
Only going to chip in that in terms of feeling like fanfic the Cell saga had the child of what was a crack ship at the time appear from the future with a unique hair colour and sword using a transformation previously unique to Goku...
In fact, you could basically cut between any two DB arcs after Piccolo Jr. is defeated and say that it feels like fanfiction, except between the Saiyan and Namek arcs since the one leads into the other. The Buu arc especially. We accept a lot of shit out of the Buu arc that we wouldn't have if it hadn't been around for so long.
Also, about Majin being translated as "Djinn" that's not actually a bad translation. Majin means "magical or demonic person" and having Buu as a demon would cause confusion with Dabura being a lot weaker so having him be a Djinn is actually a fair compromise and also fits his aesthetic.

"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"But...
I'm a fanfic writer
On the topic of the Gods of Destruction, I've always been intrigued by Mosco's... existence. Who built it, and for what purpose? When and how did it ascend to godhood? Is its creator internationally famous for having built the universe's God of Destruction? How did Campari and Ea learn how to communicate with it?

No beer?! But if there's no beer, then there's no beef or beans!
So am I...kind of. My ideas are there, but I've written one thing so far. But I'm not gonna get into that.
I wish they could have had it be a continuation of the series that gave those favourites more screen time AND makes sense, which could be achieved via taking advantage of all those times he sent Goku off on his own to show us the other characters doing something besides desperately trying to survive against a ridiculously powerful foe because Goku's not there.
But Toriyama isn't interested in doing that at all; he has his characters he cares for, and those guys aren't them. We need to accept that...even if it's really hard. It'd be nice if he'd thought of how to further develop some of them after their initial arcs, but he just got bored of them lightning quick and decided to focus on newer guys instead...while keeping the older guys around as fodder.
One Strip! One Strip! If you turn it around the other way, Goku gets his ass beaten by the Saiyans twice after being said to have become stronger than before and has to be saved by his son. Twice.
I don't think the Saiyan Arc was that bad.
Out of all of the Z arcs- heck, all of the arcs in Dragonball period, maybe not counting the Cell and Goku Black arc for obvious reasons - the Saiyan Arc may be the one where Goku has the *least* involvement in beating the final villain. Yes, he plays the biggest role and kills Nappa and fends off the Galick Gun, but after that it's up to Gohan, Krillin and Yajirobe to run interference. Even his Spirit Bomb doesn't kill Vegeta (though it wears him down a ton.) In the Freeza arc they're not able to do any damage whatsoever to Freeza until Goku gets Super Saiyan. Heck, aside from Piccolo or Tien, every action taken by just about every side character in the Cell arc actually does more to help Cell than help beat him (until they all pitch in during the final beam struggle).
"The Saiyan arc also starts the shitty trend of Goku being absent for large sections of the story while the side characters accomplish nothing of value waiting for Goku to finally get there and solve all their problems."
Manifestly not true since the same damn thing happens in the Demon King Piccolo arc.

"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"
Wait why not count the Cell Saga? Goku at least sufficiently ticks Vegeta off and gives him a lifelong obsession. Goku doesn't do anything against Cell except provide inspirational speeches.
That's why I put it as one of the noticable exceptions to the rule?
Also, Vegeta gets his lifelong obsession with Goku in the Namek saga when Goku touches down and mauls the Ginyu force effortlessly. He wasn't massively obsessed with him in the Saiyan Saga since Vegeta basically won their combat.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"

Whats with the Egyptian theme with these Gods?
