Absorbing an Entity of the Emotional Spectrum is a major power boost.
It would be a visual treatment for sure.
I don't understand, how can one feel vibration of the shockwave if it isn't coming from the source. It wasn't like when Goku fought Beerus in his god form where the universe was in endanger?
That was that bitch Superboy Prime & that was still an incredibly dumb weakness to have. Not that we can actually select our kryptonite.

But yes, the DC top tiers are pretty crazy. Can't see anyone other than Zeno himself being able to take the Thought Robot and the Dark Monitor, for instance.
I thought this episode was pretty good. It was paced a little fast, they should've stretched the U4 fighters to the first half of the next episode. I liked that they called back to the original Invisible Man fight without doing a flashback. U4's elimination could've been more dramatic, but it got a moment of silence. Episode wasn't bad, but it could've been better. I did like the moment when all the fighters stopped and just looked around waiting and searching for Gamisaras.
Odd that they changed Gamisaras' design completely. Gamisaras originally was purple and Damon's twin sister. Gamisaras here was an invisible lizard-like guy. Damon was pretty cool, but he didn't do much for all the offscreen hype, especially for a character in the intro.

I feel like Damon and Gamisaras both changed a lot from what we initially learned of them. I swear I remember Damon having more abilities.
This song needs more love.I just realized this & it annoys me.
Cauli & Kale got a whole bunch of episodes devoted to them while everyone else got the short of the end of the stick.
While I like the girls this thought pisses me off. Fucking monkeys steal all the spotlight in the end.
Even Cabba got his own episode though at least that one ended with Frieza kicking his ass.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The arc is ending in March. There are only three universes, and a grand total of 14 fighters left. So...could this mean that we're getting some post-tournament plot in this arc?
If Goku doesn't think to revive the destroyed universes, I am officially declaring him a Designated Hero who's crossed the Moral Event Horizon
Can we just agree this whole arc was flawed from the getgo?
I knew from the beginning when they were introducing all of these fighters that they were going to just end up being fodder for Universe 7 aside from one or two.
And its sad because a lot of them have pretty cool designs and abilities, but they're underexplored because they're not apart of the universes that matter for this arc, so they're treated as sideshows. Stepping stones for real stars.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.It hadn't really registered with me but Universe 7 has been doing most of the knockouts and they have been the ones finish off every last universe leading to their eliminations.
I supposed it didn't really dong on me because it seems oddly protagonist-centric for a situation like this, but there it is.
Quitelia's reaction was pretty funny though. No quite acceptance or dignity for him after all the smugness.

You could say that about a lot of characters in DB. Existing just to be beaten by someone else.
Yes, but that's not what they are doing. Toriyama mostly seems to use other characters to hype up Goku's big fights. Lets face it: everyone else, even his allies are just fodder to be beaten so as to show why only Goku can hope to stop the main foe of whatever arc they are in. Cell was the lone exception, and as soon as he got the opportunity, Toriyama back pedalled on that.
One Strip! One Strip! The fact that it was Universe 7 vs everyone else also annoyed me, but let's be real, with all these new characters in this big battle royale there wouldn't be much emotional investment in watching completely unknown characters fight each other, so it's mostly U 6 and U 7 fighting.
But the whole "everyone takes issue with Goku/sees Gokus power ahead of time" is actually a pretty good way to justify ganging up on Universe 7 (and Universe 11, who could then use that to build more hype and do something) but they haven't really used that as much as they should.
You know what would be cool? If both Goku and Jiren had been exhausted after their first battle, and both were picked on by other universes at the same time so they ended up unintentionally working together to hang on until they can finish their fight.
I like the idea of Universe 4: a universe where all the fighters are weak tricksters with powerful gimmicks, but the writers should've dropped the "weak" part for U4's best fighters. As it stands, Monna was their strongest fighter by far, when Damon really should've been their ace in the hole. Ganos had potential to grow super strong, but he was eliminated before he had the chance.

The problem is that Universe 7 has never actually been in any real danger. Any setbacks they've suffered has been mostly due to trickery, someone sacrificing themselves to eliminate them, or just dropping out due to exhaustion after already having eliminated a decent number of fighters.
Hell, despite the series keep on telling us that Goku is "exhausted", he's still fighting as if nothing is wrong and even eliminated two of the strongest fighters in the tournament single handily.
Universe 7 is a collective Invincible Hero in this arc, so the other universes ganging up on them loses meaning when they're too ineffectual to actually be any sort of threat. Jiren and Toppo are the only ones who seem to pose any sort of threat, but they're barely done anything....In fact, I don't think either of them eliminated a single contestant.

Well, stuff like Goku being able to use his regular base to keep up with SS2 Kale shouldn't happen. And it doesn't help that they're being very weird about Goku's stamina issues.
It's totally possible for the two of them to be weakened enough that other characters are a threat. Their exhausted state can be anywhere between "0/dead" and their max, there's no limit to how weak they can get from being worn out.

Ion!Sodam fought evenly with a pre-Crisis Kryptonian (the very embodiment of Invincible Hero and New Powers as the Plot Demands) and only lost because he got too close to a big polluted steel mill full of lead.
