If I have a legit complaint to the franchise its that it constantly drew from the tried and true "Character gets a power boost and immediately gets over-confident, leading to their defeat" well.
As for my favorite still shot, probably going with the tried and true first time Goku went Super Saiyan
◊ that and the subsequent death glare he gives Freeza.

That was mostly a Boo Saga thing wasn't it?
Besides being Vegetarian's trademark in the Cell saga
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.![]()

Also Vegetas bravado in the Namek saga, against Zarbon, Frieza, and possibly Recoome. And Yamcha against the Saibamen. And Gohan against Perfect Cell just before punching 18 out of him. And Vegeta Against 18. And I'm sure Future Trunks or Future Gohan had that sort of moment too.
Really as soon as the power plays started, so did the overconfidence.

Which wouldn't make any sense and he doesn't have anything to base that on.

Dat too.
Nothing Veggie gets to him in Namek Saga is due to over confidence...telling Freeza to pull out his transformations is dumb but he never stood a chance regardless.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.I did just use the Boo saga as a whole, because it's the theme.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Kakarrot doesn't do it...
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Except for the time he gave up, lost, or ran out of time because he didn't think he had enough time.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. He didn't so much give up against Vegeta, but rather beaten to the point where he could no longer oppose him.
Its ironic too. Vegeta is the poster boy for Always Second Best, but he completely won straight up against Goku in their first fight. Hell, Goku wasn't even the main reason he lost on Earth.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Well, I don't think Vegeta would call that a win.
He had to resort to a strategy normally used for destroying entire planets against a single opponent, and one that was technically weaker than him at that since normal Goku is weaker than he is.

...
Years I've been a fan of this series, and that never occurred to me. That's actually pretty hilarious.

One Strip! One Strip!

The Father-Son Kamehameha for my most iconic image. 8 year old me lost his shit watching that. It's why when that particular episode came on Toonami a couple years back during April Fools, I felt such a surge of nostalgia.
