I wasn't complaining about the Makankosappo punching above its weight, everyone knows that basic detail.
I'm saying that gap between Piccolo and U. Gohan is faaaaaaaaar larger than what existed between Raditz and Piccolo back then. That it it has demonstrated that it can close one gap doesn't mean it can close a far greater one.
It actually pierces the opponent by concentrating the power and raising the battle power of the technique high enough. The idea that Piccolo can raise his battle power into U. Gohan levels by using the Makankosappo is super sketchy.
Well, Piccolo is slightly stronger than Super Saiyan 2 Gohan, and Ultimate Gohan is slightly weaker than Super Saiyan Blue Goku, so I'd say it's a much bigger gap than 5 times over. On the other hand, there have been multiple moments where Ki Attacks have been getting noticeably stronger over time, from Goku's Super Kamehameha, to Piccolo mentioning that Cell's Kamehameha is weak because it was taken from Goku at a younger age, to Goku's Kamehameha overpowering Merged Zamasu and breaking his arms in the process. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that Piccolo's been training his Makankosappo over time to exceed even a 30x difference or so.
On Roshi, maybe I worded my last post on this topic poorly. Let me try again. Caway first uses her sexuality indirectly to try and catch Roshi off-guard and hit him with a sneak attack, establishing that using sexuality in combat is now open. Roshi decides to counter by using his own sexuality indirectly to scare her into eliminating herself. Seems fair to me. She started it and set the precedent. She could dish it out but not take it. Neither of them went so far as to do anything physical with their sexuality, it was all mind-games.

That might have worked if Roshi wasn't in buff form but as it was it just came off as just the sort of thing you want to forget the episode did. Dragonball is just not the avenue for rape jokes, really (unless you're TFS).
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"You know, of all the new fighters in the tournament, just judging by first impressions of design, Nink is probably the most disappointing to me. He's the biggest U4 fighter, he stands in the center of their group shot, and he looks like a buff genie, I was expecting him to have some wacky and badass magic powers. But no, he's the second person eliminated and all he did was try and fail at pulling a Taking You with Me with Goku.
Nail has been assimilated inside of Piccolo for 11+ years at this point, so I doubt he's conscious of anything. That was probably more of a spiritual moment than anything.
Didn't using it raise Piccolo's power up to 1400ish, though?

Well, that's the point. His power level was about 300, but he revved up to beat Raditz who was 1200-1500 depending on your source. The move has a power output of 1400 or so. It's like how Tien was able to hold back Semi-Perfect Cell with the Kikoho.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"Well, they kinda can't.
Zen-O can literally erased them with a flick of the wrist. It's flat out said nothing can stop him.
It's very frustrating that someone like that runs all the universes, but unfortunately, that's how it is.
One Strip! One Strip!I really liked how universe 2 went out. Even though they lost on interuniversal tv, and even got an eleventh hour superpower and lost, they took extinction with Grace. Gonna miss you U2.
Califlua spending her last moments trying to beat people up is hilarious, and Champa's final guesture was pretty much the closest he came to sincerity.
Also did you guys see the Shadowy things in the preview? Looks like some warriors that have already been destroyed are being used to attack U7. The Winnie the Pooh guy from U6 is definitely among them
There's far too few truly challenging fighters in the tournament, yes. It's really inexcusable writing considering the amount of free room Toriyama gave himself.
Sadly, Zeno gets his way because no one can stand up to him. You'll see why eventually.
I also agree that there's too few really dangerous people in the tournament. It should be a sort of Game of Thrones "who's the most dangerous" but right from the friggin opening it's clear that the most powerful is Jiren.
"And when the last law was down and the Devil turned round on you, where would you hide, the laws all being flat?"They can't. Either he'd erase them, or the Grand Priest would put them down.
It's total bullshit, and I'm not sure why Toriyama would make a King of All Cosmos type character like that who no one can do anything about...
...then again, no body could do anything about the Red Ribbon Army until they pissed Goku off, and Frieza was going around completely unchallenged by anyone until once he decided to piss Goku off.
I guess it's just the usual situation of assholes being superior to any force of good, until Goku feels like beating them up.
One Strip! One Strip!

The Special Beam Cannon has *always* punched above its weight (I.e. above its user's power level). Some Ki attacks, like it and the Kikoho do that. That's how it's introduced, allowing for Piccolo to beat a guy five times his power level in one shot.
As for the Roshi thing... I think the intention was probably like what PMC said but I think it would be funny and not disturbing if they had just done it when he was in his regular form as opposed to buff Roshi form. As it is, yeah, it comes off as very crass, even for Roshi. Either that or have him Kamehameha her off the field and the joke is her in a pile of debris going "phew, so that's what he meant".
