I did like how 18 joined in on the fun with pretending to be bad guys. It's so unlike her that I got a chuckle out of it.
One Strip! One Strip!I don't really see how. I mean, interesting is subjective but this served the exact same purpose of transformation, except they didn't even change appearance. And I don't think we've known these guys nearly long enough for it to carry emotional weight. Same thing about how we don't know anyone they fused with.

Vados even does a little bow as he goes. I guess for all her joking she does care.

I thought there was plenty emotional weight from the inherent darkness of so many people giving their lives to try stop the destruction of their universe. Piccolo's mind flashes made me feel it, personally.

Honestly for Champa that was downright Facing Death with Dignity.

This song needs more love.This
opening was so misleading.
- Kale actually looks intimidating in her base form here, but she's actually a shrinking violet type character.
- The fight between Goku and Jiren seems evenly matched in the opening. When we actually see them fight, they are not evenly-matched.
- All of the Pride troopers are positioned together, giving the implication that Kale is involved with them.
- Ribrianne wasn't Vegeta's primary foe or even all that important really.
- Jiren is shown as Goku's "main enemy," but Jiren barely gave a hoot about Goku until his GOD told him to go after Goku.
- Ultra Instinct Goku hasn't smiled once, and the aura is completely different.
- Goku hasn't demonstrated any advanced ki techniques in this arc. I guess he did the Spirit Ball thing against Kale,
- Buu... damn it.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Huh, different strokes I guess. It the same reason caring about any of these universes getting erased is hard. Although, I suppose this is different because those people are gone no matter what happens.
I find it odd that they merged their whole race into two warriors rather than one, though.
Fusions are more powerful than the sum of their parts, especially Namekian fusion. If Saonel and Pirina had fused together the resulting Omega Namekian would be, like, Jiren-tier.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Drinking game:
Take a drink every time someone in the To P gets eliminated.
Ha ha ha. What a story, Mark.Wouldn't that be low stakes...?
Thanks to Gif formatting...seeing Champ's gesture doesn't seem rude.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. As much as I hate to admit it, the reveal that Ribrianne did NOT kill those two, coupled with her facing death with dignity, made me feel a teensy weensy bit sorry for her when she was erased. Don't get me wrong, she's still a huge jerk, and I don't like her, but for me, it invoked Alas, Poor Scrappy. Not that it really matters though, since all the universes will probably be brought back in the end.
Also, yeah Pushover Movie Critic, you were right and I was wrong. It was still disproportionate of her to blast and injure them like that over something so trivial, but Vegeta did the same thing to Nok at the end of DBZ, so it's not like she did anything worse than him. Actually, he's worse since he has a history as a space pirate. So i'd be invoking Protagonist-Centered Morality to still hold that against her while giving him a free pass.
Does anyone wanna take any guesses as to how long it will take for Universe 3 to be eliminated? They have twice as many members left as 4 or 11, second only to 7.

jjjI like this tournament but it stretches the willing suspension of disbelief that Universe 7 would be the sole focus of the fight, even accounting for Bergamo's speech.
Like, what are the rest of the universes doing whenever Universe 7 has no available reps to fight? Just standing around waiting for their turn?
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Gohan and Piccolo got to be awesome, and the U6 Namekians got to be awesome too. That one's going up there on the "best fights in the Tournament" list.
As for the Androids + Goku vs the U2 dregs... I really didn't expect them to do Magical Girl transformations. Kind of funny. But the humor wore off when they were literally the same transformations and powers the Kamikaze Fireballs had.
Still, I will say that U2 managed to go out with grace. Not just the warriors but the whole damn universe, by the looks of it. I didn't like them much, but credit where it's due. Also, Androids + Goku getting into the whole routine was pretty funny.
So, next time U4 unveils their trump card. And U3 is still... there. I really hope U3 actually does something other than fill out the numbers and exist.
And U11 continues to just stand around looking like they should be surrounded by Jojo's menacing sound effects.

In case anyone wanted it, here's Champa's goodbye in gif form.
