Well ok then. Just don't be like me with Naruto and Fairy Tail. If you think it's not worth it, bail out. No need investing in something you don't enjoy.
I do wish you'd mentioned the things you like a bit earlier. It's honestly hard to tell what you actually like sometimes.
One Strip! One Strip! For the same reason that everyone was disgusted with the fact that Cell sucked up a ton of people to power up his first form. You can't just treat an entire race of people like a power-up for one guy just because he decided to spend his life fighting.
The example brought up recently in the thread was blatantly sexist, but Pushover also has a habit of implying that most criticism of Ribrianne are rooted in sexism. Which they are, in other places (You Tube, but what do you expect from You Tube), but I don't think that's actually been an issue in this thread.
Most criticisms of Ribrianne are rooted in sexism? I don't believe that's true anywhere, except for maybe You Tube. Even on You Tube, seems like most of the vitriol is because people find her annoying (which she absolutely is). Aside from hating her appearance, I can't think of too many things that are blatantly sexist? (And even making fun of the way she looks wouldn't be outright sexist in my opinion, but I digress)
I was excited about her character at first, since Dragonball has such an absence of female fighters. And hey, magical girl parodies are fun.
I still like Rozie and Sakanku, they were fun to watch, had interesting fighting styles, and had some funny moments.
In Ribrianne's case, though, any amusing moments from her were swiftly overshadowed by her pettiness, shallowness, and baldfaced hypocrisy.
My dislike of her character has nothing to do with her being female. It's everything to do with her personality and actions.
Her being fat is part of what made her initially interesting to me. It set her apart from the other female fighters.
But yeah, her personality is rotten. And it's a shame too, but not everyone can be Android 18.
One Strip! One Strip!I don't care about Ribrianne but she like most of the characters in this arc, she isn't very interesting and she is just fodder for Goku and friends. I do find the whole Ribrianne is a "fat cunt" thing is a little disturbing as it is one thing to hate her personality, it is another thing to her hate because of her weight. I am just waiting to for the arc the end as any investment I had in this arc has diminished already and I am waiting for it to end,
For Ribrianne fans who wanted her eliminated, this is for you

"Mai waifu."I'd say the big problem is her shtick lasted longer than it needed to. If, say, this episode had taken place after 102 after her teammate had first got eliminated, I don't think she would have gotten nearly as much bile.
Instead, Toei played with the idea of making her an Elimination Houdini on top of her already divisive personality.

You're confusing the afterimage technique with Tien's multiform technique. Making a bunch of images out of air shouldn't lower your power any.
There was definitely a lot of "bitch" being thrown around.

Yes. When Vegeta broke the barrier, Champa asked why the barrier was so weak and Vados said it was because he said it didn't matter how strong it was and he didn't care.
Also, I don't hate everything at this point. Like I didn't have anything bad to say about Vegeta and Cabba and I thought Piccolo and Frost was a fun fight to watch even if it didn't make any sense given the mechanics of the series. So far Super is certainly not the greatest but this arc is a definite step up from RF, which was awful pandering that didn't make any sense at all.
The arc you all are watching sounds worse to me.
