Those two pictures look similar, yeah, but I'd say overall the second form is consistently bulkier than the first, and they look similar in some shots due to inconsistency.
Though Kafla's hair colour is closer to the second form, but her base hair also has a green tinge that Kale doesn't have, so I have no idea what they're going for.
At any rate, this has nothing to do with her base form's performance.
Kale's forms are a mess, but, the way I interpret things, her first controlled form is not really controlled Berserk: is normal Super Saiyan, she just transformed for feeling helpless at helping her sis.
The second is controlled berserker, since she is using her own variation of the Super Saiyan 4 transformation (Berserker is the Oozaru, Controlled is Super Saiyan 4). Maybe explains why she is so powerful, and why Vegeta called the form "What Saiyans were originally like)
I'm guessing too much? You are right, but i'm not bothered. "Berserker" being some sort of equivalent to the Oozaru feels right to me.
To win, you need to adapt, and to adapt, you need to be able to laugh away all the restraints. Everything holding you back.![]()
Her arm muscles are drawn almost exactly the same in both images. I think it would've worked better if Mastered Berserk had looked like Berserk, except with irises and without veins instead of being almost identical to Controlled.
I also think it would've worked better if Kafla has beaten God Goku in Controlled Berserk rather than base, but that's because I like the idea of God being close to Blue in power. As it is, it's apparent that the gap between God and Blue is HUGE.
Sidenote: it has come to my attention that it's only been 6 minutes since Goku lost to Jiren.
In both images, yes, but I'm saying that those images aren't the same as they look in other shots or in motion.
edit: The other reason I think Kafla's only using Super Saiyan is because of Goku's performance. He goes from God to Blue and does about the same as Base to Super Saiyan was for her.
That'd suggest that Blue is literally Super Saiyan God with Super Saiyan stacked on top of it, which is similar to how it was described in various places, but I don't think many people thought the power gap was that huge. If that's the idea, then Kafla going from base > Super Saiyan would mirror that.

So, I was in the Dragon Ball wiki forum, and this guy creates a topic: "What are your worst favorite characters from the Tournament?"
He mentions Cabba, and says how much he hates him for being a goody-two shoes and a bootleg Tarble. I found his opinions baffling, considering that Tarble was nothing to write home about (And yet he considers him better), and also a goody two shoes. At least Cabba introduced us to the U6 Saiyans, Tarble was some afterthought who didn't bring anything new to the table.
Honestly, I don't understand this fandom sometimes. Also, he says "worst favorites" when he means "most hated" characters.
There are better ways to criticize a character: not having a clear backstory is one of them, but this is a series where the best fighters in the universe only get a brief summary on their story. Remember the Ginyu Force, or the Other World fighters? Cabba doesn't strike me as anything other than another tournament antagonist who just so happens to be a Saiyan, and unlike Tarble, one who gots some development instead of being a Living Prop.

Hmmmh honestly its just Ribra. I mean she's only one who gets me really mad & thats by virtue of her constant presence.
Its really hard to hate most or any of these characters because they barely have enough screen time for us to get a proper feel on them.

Yeah, but Tarble was just some Living Prop who existed for a gag. Honestly, why some people like him puzzles me, since he is the equivalent of a Original Character (Another Saiyan who just happen to be the brother of one of the protagonists? Yeah, fanfic fuel... except there is nothing that Tarble could tell us).
I guess I dislike Jiren and Ribrianne to an extent. Ribrianne is annoying, and just seems like a gag character without anything interesting to her name. Jiren, unlike Hit, doesn't get any sort of backstory or original power sets, he is just this big strong dude who is, well, strong.
I don't hate them, I just found Jiren to be boring as he doesn't have a gimmick or quirk. Toppo showed some development after his fight with Goku, so I can't dislike him. Can't hate Hammy Handy Grandpa.
The U6 Saiyans at least get some development, which I'm all inclined for.

- So... Kale wrecked Super Saiyan Blue, and Kefla wrecks Super Saiyan God, but Super Saiyan Blue lets Goku keep up with her, and Kaioken Blue poses a threat to her. I don't normally care about consistency but... what.
- Why is everyone awestruck when Goku goes Blue? Did Goku not just use this form 5 minutes before?
- Could somebody just beat Goku into the ground already? I'm genuinely tired of watching him get pulverized. I miss the time when Goku would get gut-punched/get tuckered out and not be able to finish the battle.
EDIT: Nvm. Goku is down finally. Thank freaking god.
EDIT: Nvm, Ultra Instinct. God freaking dammit.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!People talk about how Goku hasn't developed or maybe even regressed, and I can't really argue against that. But I do have to wonder how much better do you think it would be with Vegeta or Gohan, because it's not like either of them has much more to go either. They just keep rehashing the same things with them.
Which might be an argument that Super never should have existed if they were just going to rehash old characterizations and developments without really adding new things to the characters, but, eh.
This is coming from Toei Animation, so, no, don't think so.
Makes me remember I like the Bardock and Trunks special. Wonder what is that writer doing lately.
Also, I guess I should ask this somewhere else, but I now wonder which are the best manga writers in the industry. Writers, not artists.
