...what decent fight? Burter did jackshit to Goku, and got killed off by Vegeta when he was unconscious. He literally only existed to job to Goku, and even then he winds up coming back in the anime to job to Tien.
Honestly, half of the Ginyu Force ended up amounting to about as much as, oh look, half of the characters introduced in this arc.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!![]()
I mean, I actually do find that impressive, but you can't really expect other people to become as invested in so many characters just because you have.
Even if you don't have to call them fodder (a term I don't really like anyway) that's different from the constant, "No, this character was actually super important/strong/three-dimensional/hilarious" whenever anyone says anything even mildly unflattering about any of them.

Hey its not like the Ginyu Force is remembered for being good fighters well except for Reccome & Ginyu.
Its the whole hammy sentai bit & if you watched the abridged the surprising amount of heart put into them & cranking the hamminess even further with the whole wrestling match bit.

I don't do that about every character. You won't find me singing the praises of Majora, or Prum, or Jilcol. I think I've only ever done that for Ribrianne, who's U2's most prominent fighter with multiple episodes worth of screentime, no duh she's important, Monna, who had a pretty neat fight and is currently the strongest fighter we know of from U4, and Jimeze, which amounted to "he can teleport spam and is more important than Burter".

Demon King Piccoro has been in 2 DBZ games, there's always hope that he can be playable again.

I'm actually starting to wonder what everybody else is doing while Goku is dicking around with these big hype clashes. I assume there's going to be a down period between the "beginning of the climax" and the "end of the climax" where the remainders in the various teams get focus episodes/moments and then get eliminated, but I'm just starting to feel the weirdness of how nothing happens in this storyline unless the character being focused on it involved in it.
I mean, you guys have mentioned it before as feeling off, but it never really hit me until now.

Big Blue was only playable in fighters that had large rosters, most of which were the extremely bloated Spike rosters. His appearance in stuff like Ginyu's specials in smaller rosters is a lot more meaningful, where the whole Ginyus combined add a nice element to the game.
I don't want him as a separate playable character in the games. Huge rosters can do whatever they want, though characters from the manga always have a big advantage and nostalgia will be a big influence. That's just the way it goes. I think there are so many characters to add from TOP that Jimeze may never see the light of day even in a bloated roster.
And in a roster with deeper character variation, I don't see him making the cut. He's just not that important, not that distinct, and not nostalgic enough.
I'm kind of surprised at this intense dislike of Burter. I mean, admittedly, he is the Ginyu Force member who does the least given his only fight is getting schooled by Goku and immediately killed, but I'm not sure why single him out. There were plenty of villains, even outside of the Namek Arc, that were just one and done deals.
Well Pushover just randomly mentioned Burter cause he's a Frieza soldier & then had him bare the full brunt of the complaints.
I assume the same would have been said for Jeice or Guldo if either one was thought first instead.

As shown in Fighter Z he's not playable due to the game having a very condensed focused roster. Instead yes he is an assist attack for the more important Ginyu who is the main fighter.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I can agree that, if you're going to include the Ginyu Force at all, have all of them be in one character to make up for each of their individual shallowness as fighters and lack of screentime. It's what Fighterz is doing and what Supersonic Warriors has done in the past. I only picked on Burter because, even among the lesser used Ginyu Force members, he does the least. Jeice gets to escape to warn Captain Ginyu and hang around as a character a bit longer and Guldo gets a decent fight with Gohan and Krillin. Burter just gets punked on by Goku and that's it.
That reminds me: how can Caulifla tell at a glance that Goku is much older than her? It's something I've wondered from time to time.

Probably because of how tall he is...and how he sounds.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. Why would he tell her that?
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Heh. You could argue that every character in DBZ exists to job to Goku or job to someone else to further hype up Goku.
Even the ones who have beaten him in fights (barring Frieza, who was elevated to be his equal) are so far behind him now that they have nothing but that one time they were able to defeat a much weaker Goku.
So everyone is fodder of an equal persuasion when you think of it.
One Strip! One Strip!

Also, I wasn't really that heated about this until my last post and this one. You asking me why I'm heated got me a lot more heated than I was previously because it got me thinking about reasons I should be heated.
