35 year old white man.Yeah.
The exhibition match being between the gods was cool, and the lack of animosity from Toppo towards Goku was better essentially.
They are doing a better job of making it clear that Goku has (if only accidentally) saved at least one universe with his idea of the tournament.

I'm still not sure if that logic follows as far as the anime is concerned. Yeah he may have saved one in the long run but Universe 10 certainly got offed earlier than it would have.

This song needs more love.It was pretty stupid when it didn't have to occur in the first place. Jiren wasn't even attacking him, Hit went out of his way to attack him. All he had to do was avoid him, which is what Hit was doing the entire time anyway.
When was Jiren going to go after Hit? It's not like he gave any indication that he was targeting Hit after Goku's UI wore off. For all we know, Jiren was just going to continue his assault on Goku.

Jiren states after defeating Hit "The warriors I'm needed for aren't here anymore" or something. He considered Hit someone to be dealt with. That Hit just went on the offensive before he could was the smart decision, it just didn't work out.
More to the point, Hit wasn't intentionally avoiding Jiren and acting as if he could if Jiren was actively going after him is laughable.
By your logic no one should be bothering to fight anyone, because then no one can be eliminated.

Except Jiren wasn't actively going after him....? At least, not literally at that moment. He was still preoccupied with Goku.
And, yes, Hit was avoiding him, up until he decided to attack him. He decided to flee with Kale and Caulifla after Jiren knocked Kale out. Pretty sure he knew to avoid him.
No, no one should bother to fight Jiren because winning isn't pertinent to knocking him off. Having the most team members left is. Just hide in the center of the ring (while suppressing your ki of course), and pray he doesn't find you.
They already had an advantage over U11, but intentionally throwing yourself at Jiren is how your team loses members.
In the rubble that is currently littering the entire arena? It's big enough that individual battles can occur without ever seeing another fighter; it's sufficiently big. It then becomes a question of how well Jiren can sense ki. Saying "he's a god" isn't enough if he can't find your teammates to begin with.

You keep talking as if "avoid Jiren" is a realistic thing that can be done if Jiren decides he's going to start doing things. It isn't. Any "advantage" could very easily be wiped away, in which case it's not a real advantage.
The fact that he's not doing that now honestly seems pretty contrived.

It's contrived that he didn't just speed blitz one-shot every contestant at the beginning of the tournament, but here we are. He also let 70% of his teammates get eliminated....that's bad no matter how you slice it. If Goku gets UI again, I'd be pretty worried if I were Belmod or Khai. All Goku would have to do is keep Jiren occupied with UI, and U7 could win on numbers. They wouldn't even have to knock him off.
It's Jiren's fault for "conserving his energy" and meditating instead of just winning the tournament instantly like we know he could.

Saying that Hit was an idiot for going up and attacking Jiren instead of hiding is not giving Hit enough credit. He didn't attack Jiren randomly, he specifically went after him right as he was defeating Goku because that's when his guard would be the lowest. It's the kind of do-anything-to-win scumbag tactic that probably would have worked on anyone except Jiren.
"Conserving energy" seemed to be on Belmond's orders for whatever stupid reason. But now that he's been told he can stop doing that, he just decides "fuck it, you two can handle the rest." That's more contrived in my book.
How did this conversation start again, someone complaining about Hit not doing enough or something?

It was me.
I only really suggested Hit avoiding Jiren to begin with because Jiren has a habit of standing around and doing nothing. He thinks Toppo and Dyspo can handle everyone else.
Hell, Goku is still in the ring, yet he deems him not worthy of fighting, so he can't be assed to actually move. If Jiren didn't eliminate Hit, I wouldn't be surprised if he went back to doing nothing.

I thought the same thing: it's clear he wasn't as hurt as the others (since he opted out of getting healed) and I get the feeling he wasn't even being serious and letting the other gods wear themselves out during the fight.

I like Caulifla. I'm largely indifferent to Kale since the whole Shrinking Violet trope isn't my thing.
Considering Jiren can stop energy attacks by staring at them really hard, I feel like him powering up to max would probably kill people in the nearby area ala Toguro.
I wonder if it's possible that Jiren is the "Broly expy" in the sense that his power is way too immense for him to reasonably hold back against people who aren't strong enough to challenge him. Maybe meditation is necessary to control his power rather than just him acting as though he shows no interest.

Yep, Hermes' translation explicitly says that it's Champa who teaches the girls the new technique. So coaching from the bleachers is allowed then?
