Bringing Freeza back for the tournament has been one of the best decisions they've made yet, and his scenes are always incredible. He really sells the role of Token Evil Teammate while teasing turning traitor at a moments notice. He's been great. Just the fact that the unambiguously most evil person in the 80 person tournament is on the main character's side is a really fun dynamic.

I'm assuming that they went through the effort of bringing back Frieza a second time then they have something big their planning with him.
Whether it involves the Saiyan girls or not Frieza's gonna do something bitching.
The best parts of these kinds of team arcs. Ya always gotta bring one villain along for the ride.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I've enjoyed a few moments here and there with Frieza (it's been fascinating watching him actually learn from past mistakes to some extent and seeing him plot against the gods themselves), but...
Majin Buu has fallen asleep and can't help...again.
I am so sick of them finding ways to take Buu out of the fight. I was ready to see him kick ass in this tournament, then they fuck around again. And we know that the manga is gonna do the same thing. It's really annoying.
At least the anime gave us the exhibition match.
One Strip! One Strip!Or his Candy beam.
I've suspected it's something like that: either you have to keep coming up with reasons for Buu's powers to fail, or you just take him out of the equation.
We still don't know the exact reason Vegetto was still powerful even after being turned into Candy (some suspect it's due to being a somewhat magical being, but it's never been made clear), so they'd have to come up with ways to keep Buu from just turning the other dude into Candy every time.
The absorption thing isn't much of an issue, because I'd assume Buu wouldn't do that anymore (Satan probably told him not to).
One Strip! One Strip!Damn. Wish I had had this back when we were first trying to come up with a new topic, but here's something from Masako:
The Erasa thing sounds dumb, but beyond that, I'm not sure.
I gotta say, I'm torn on Satan: I'm rather sick of the numerous hoops the series jumps through in order to keep him as HERCULE SATAN!!! HERO OF EARTH!!!.
On the other hand, I'd hate to lose those few moments of genuine heroism behind all the cowardice and grandstanding: throwing 16's head at the key moment, befriending Buu and stopping his rampage with nothing more than sheer kindness, and finally convincing the people of Earth to lend energy to the Spirit Bomb when Goku's unknown hero status ultimately works against him (though it's pretty ridiculous that suddenly people seem to doubt Buu is out there after everything that happened).
Also, his fate is pretty brutal since he didn't really became a louse until he took credit for the Cell fight: up until then, he was a legitimate martial artist, so suddenly getting his whole life wrecked due to being unable to do something in a situation well beyond him (even if he got himself into the mess by bragging about things he didn't know) seems a little excessive. To say nothing of the effect it has on poor Videl (though that status makes her refusal to surrender make even more sense: can't restore the family name if you lose to the dude your dad beat up, especially when everyone now thinks you dad is a joke).
...Again, the Erasa thing is dumb.

One Strip! One Strip!Ya know I'm rather sad this weeks Toonami is gonna be a Samurai Jack marathon.
Cause that means the Goku vs. Hit fight is gonna be pushed back a week & I really wanna see the Kaioken Blue in English as well as more of Hit's voice cause he is voiced by fucking Matthew Mercer which is really rad.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I don't care if Freeza gets more popular. I don't base my opinions on what anyone else thinks.
I also don't hate him, he's meant to be an awful person so I don't understand wanting to throw him a bone. That's just strange.
I think he's overused, overexposed and continously relying on his popularity is a bad crutch for the series. His time passed decades ago.

Also, Gohan would actually be irrelevant to the "Hero of Earth" thing against Boo because Gotenks exists.
My various fanfics.I wasn't using him being popular as a reason he should continue to be used, I was just mentioning it as a reason he probably is going to continue to be used.
I agree that it would be better if that didn't happen, but as far as this tournament goes that ship has sailed.

Oh you should. The English Dub is just awesome.
Especially with the fact that since the early part of Super is very subpar so the well-written dialogue & general excellent voice-acting manages to keep the show fun & entertaining despite the low-quality fight scenes.
They managed to put in some hilarious lines too.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."

Nothing Freeza has done has been of any value. Bringing him back was a mistake when it was called Resurrection F. We've gad two stupidly obvious fake out betrayals, but at least the second one had Freeza being pragmatic and calling back to Namek in a neat way, and aside from that he's just been the same boring dickhead he always was.
I don't see why he it'd be good for him to beat Kale/Caulifa. He's a monster, why should he get to vent his racism on some Saiyans? I know it'd be repetitive for him to go after the Saiyans and lose but it's better than trying to "fix" his earlier losses to them by giving him other Saiyans to beat and preserve his pride. It reminds me of people saying Vegeta should have beaten the revived Freeza.
