This is true.
This is stupid. Who are these people? If anything, Hit works as a demonstration of how powerful Jiren is. He fought Goku near equally, with the latter only gaining an edge when he busted out Kaioken Blue (or Super Saiyan God in the manga), and then, after stomping Goku, Jiren proceeded to utterly No-Sell the technique that Goku had struggled against.
In order to show the other dude is strong, you need to have them beat a strong guy. This doesn't mean Hit is nothing now, it just means Jiren is better.
It does mean that maybe somebody (Toriyama, Toyotarou or Toei) needs to comes up with other ways to show power beyond higher and higher Power Levels...but it's been far too late for that for years.
When a half beaten to shit Piccolo was still leagues above a completely fresh Tien, Yamcha and Krillin during the 23rd (that was the 23rd wasn't it?) Budokai, it's clear that Power Creep was already pretty out of control.
One Strip! One Strip!![]()
And that is why Jiren needs a personality.
Cause his only claim to fame is being ridiculously strong when that is an absolute given in any shonen. It doesn't make him special or anything especially on the high chance that the 4 higher universes prolly has someone or several people on par or far superior to Jiren.
Well people are fucking r-word.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
Regretable? Reticent? Reprehensible? Repugnant? Recalictrant?

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!As far as bringing back the other six universes Zeno destroyed millions of years ago or whatever, I don't see anyone in the cast having the presence of mind/interest to do that, but if the wish is basically phrased as "restore all the universes erased by Zeno" does six should come back by default even if not intended.
It would be kind of funny to see people fretting about how the universes would be numbered now.
Random fodder of the week: that's definitely accurate for Monna. I mean it's just Monster of the Week applied to what she is: fodder for Cabba's transformation and focus.
Most of these characters are. I think Anom said he was fine with the idea of not everyone getting focus, and I agree, you shouldn't try with this many participants. Given that this is a shonen though many fans will expect that any character who doesn't get focus or is defeated easily is a waste.
I also think their choices on who to focus on and the universe balance has been really weird. And they could do better at establishong characters like Monna who are going to be used in an established character's episode.
@Shulgo: No it really is a very offensive word to use.
I don't think she's a big deal but I do think the term fodder is being used a bit too broadly here.

Really weird. Baffling, even.
They introduced Murichim as the team leader of Universe 10, and he was the only warrior from that universe who even showed his face in any scene prior to the actual tournament. Then for some reason they said, "Nah, let's have him get shitstomped off-screen and instead give the focus to... uh... that green guy."
No beer?! But if there's no beer, then there's no beef or beans!
