I was hoping to not dwell on it as much I used to but, the fact of the matter is that the “Return of Frieza” story arc of Dragon Ball Super is still incredibly bothersome for me, since there really seemed like there was no way out of it all without its deus ex machina at the end.
Gohan, Piccolo and all of the others all went off to fight off Frieza’s army, but, clearly, they all stood no chance against them. Not only did Piccolo go down but Gohan was even tortured to point where Goten actually yelled out his name in tears. That scene still haunts me to think about. And even when Goku and Vegeta both arrived onto the scene, in the end, the battle was still not swaying in the good guys favor. Goku, even whilst in Super Saiyan God form Blue, was still not enough to defeat Frieza, especially not while he was within his new Golden form, which was still enough to overpower him, and the big reveal about Frieza’s new weakness while within this new form not only came to light by sheer luck, but it ultimately mattered nothing in the end, because they had to make Goku suddenly let his guard down around Frieza of all people and get hit with a blow that didn’t seem like it should have been enough to do much to him (say what you want, but Goku never really let his guard down that much with Frieza, especially not when his family and friends were involved either). Now, if Goku had been shot just when he was about to deliver the final blow to Frieza, that would have seemed more fitting to his character, but, instead they make it so that he just powered himself down and then got shot and everyone just kept on giving me grief for it no less too. Not that it really mattered in the end anyways, since when Vegeta’s turn finally came up, not only was his gaining of the upper-hand mostly just because Goku had already tired Frieza out, but, in the end; Frieza still won by destroying the entire planet and according to Beerus, he likely still survived such an action. In the end, Frieza’s return was a threat that had no possible way of ending well, Goku and Vegeta still could not defeat him with their new powers, and, had Whis not suggested his do-over abilities while berating Goku, there would have been no way out of all of it. The fact that it all still worked out okay in the end hardly really matters all that much, since the whole ordeal was still only settled because of a simple stroke of pure luck.
They could have easily won if Goku and Vegeta had been willing to fight Frieza as a team. Both of them together are almost as strong as Golden Frieza, and unlike with other examples, since the gap isn't as huge as usual, they'd have likely taken him out.
The problem is:
1) neither of them were taking his threat seriously despite knowing what a threat he is;
2) Goku cared more about satisfying his fight boner than just taking him out (even in the Super version where he was more antagonistic towards Frieza, since that's how he should act Toriyama!);
3) Vegeta is too proud to ever work with Goku like that. It takes a Buu and Zamasu level threat for him to swallow his pride and cooperate.
Things only got as bad as they did because the heroes allowed things to get that bad, which is par for the course in the series post Frieza arc.

One Strip! One Strip!On the one hand Cabba was finally able to go SS 2 but on the other, it's still apparent that he's third in the pecking order as far as the U6 Saiyans go.
Frieza doesn't screw around now. He didn't care about his counterpart, and his hatred of Saiyans definitely does apply to Universe 6 Saiyans.
Wait, Goku isn't gonna fight seriously against Kale and Caulifla, considering that he reserves SSJ 2 and SSJ 3 for non-serious battles. Also, he just got back up from being knocked out. Why is he gonna use the form that drains more energy, does he want to knock himself out or something!?

Ha ha ha. What a story, Mark.He might not have much choice. They are going to be attacking him together.
As for Cabba, even he knew Kale and Cauliffa stood more of a chance of winning for them than he did (they'd been shown to be stronger than him since he first showed them Super Saiyan) hence why he took on that fight while they saved their energy.
One Strip! One Strip!Good job, Cabba, you hit SS2 and knocked out at least one decently high-level combatant.
Unfortunately, there was never anything he could do against Freeza.
I don't know if Vegeta meant he would restore all of Universe 6, but maybe just bring back Sadala and the Saiyans into Universe 7. I can't imagine he cares at all about the rest of U6. It is kind of nice to see his Saiyan pride going in a positive direction for once though, looking out for his people.
Toppo vs Vegeta is something I never really thought about, but it could be a really cool battle. Also, Toppo, don't push the Goku Button. That's a bad idea.
Goku vs the Saiya-Gals next time, eh? I too am confused about why he's using SS3, I thought he'd abandoned that form as wasting too much stamina. And he really doesn't have stamina to waste at this point. I can't help thinking that Caulifla and Goku aren't going to be taking this fight super-seriously. Like this is gonna be playtime for them.

Well, glad we're done with the Universe 6 is the good universe shit.
Though their version of the Saiyans are still mostly better than the U7 Saiyans, probably due to Frost's greater subtlety.
One Strip! One Strip!Man, that episode was crazy! Poor Cabba tho, going Super Saiyan 2 only to instantly job to Frieza. At least that fight with Monna was pretty neat.
Also, new Super Dragon Ball Heroes stuff, again!
Dragon Ball Super Volume 4 and the collected Reincarnated as Yamcha will have exclusive Heroes cards, of SSJB Goku and Reincarnated Yamcha respectively! Also, big fucking spoiler...
Super Saiyan 4 Bardock is coming

That was a really cool episode. I really enjoyed Cabba vs Monna, Vegeta's a good teacher, the U6 Namekians seem really cool, and it overall just felt like a very solid satisfying episode. Anyone else take note that the three U3 robots attacking Goku are also the same robots theorized to be able to combine?
Oh, cool, Cabba got Super Saiyan 2 and some spotlight. And Toppo's going to fight Vegeta, I hope this doesn't get interrupted, it's about time both of them had a major fight.
I'm glad Vegeta brought up the possibility of saving another universe with the wish, as well as visiting Planet Sadla. Two things that most people were wondering about. But it makes me wonder why the hell no-one else has brought it up wishing to save other universes.

Isn't it already suffering from the "Stamina issues" all forms above SS 1 suffer?

My favorite part of the episode:
Vegeta: I don't want to fight the number two!
Toppo: Aren't you number two, yourself?
