And for some reason, chose to make his 20 shell identical to his real body...and weaker than what he gave 17 and 18.

I mean, if they'd bothered to say that his body was too weak to take the nano probes, so he went with putting himself in a more mechanical body, I'd be fine with that. There's enough wiggle room for it.

Yeah, 20 is just a brain piloting a robot. He didn't need to do a full body conversion or anything.

[up] They do explain it. The energy absorbing type is weaker but easier control.

17 and 18 don't seem to have much of a problem controlling themselves, and Gero was controlling 20 with his own brain. That shouldn't have been an issue.

17 specifically brings it up as an issue, though.

Presumably it'd be a mechanical infinite-energy model that Gero would have to control.

With his own brain.

Yes. Nothing about that guarantees it'd be perfect. The mechanical body may not respond to the neural signals sent out from the brain.

I would like to see a What If story where Dr. Gero turns himself into an infinite energy model as powerful as 17 or 18. It's too bad this scenario is too interesting for any of the Xenoverse games to use.

[up][up] Owing to her resemblance to 16, most common theory I've seen is that she is or is based on Gero's wife/16's mother.

I do wish they changed Gero's origin a little so Goku did kill his son when he annihilated the Red Ribbon army.

It really make things more personal.

[up][up][up] Dragon Ball Heroes has "Enhanced Remodel Gero." It doesn't say what type of Android he is, but he does have the power to easily control other Android's.

It'd just be neat.

I mean neat for those who care...

It's kind of funny. Even though Beerus is absurdly lethargic, when you look at Champa you realize that Beerus was the energetic, ambitious one.

[up][up] Yeah, I read about it on another forum

It's probable that the scene was cut when sent to CR, I wonder if that was deliberate

It is interesting that the Grand Priest threw up a barrier over the Zen-Os.

It was probably cut for time since the original special only had one opening and ending. You can watch the full special on Funimation's website. There's also some neat eyecatches in that version.

It's very interesting.

Time will tell if there's a reason for both the barrier, and the scene being snipped.

Presumably even though they're in no danger of getting hurt, it's still an annoyance or inconvenience.

Beerus has Whis throw up a barrier around him when Freeza blows up Earth, for example. In his defense, the explosion would've vaporized that delicious sundae of his.

I mean, when Future Zen-O destroyed Trunks' timeline, they found him just hovering in the empty space like it tweren't no thang.

What can and can't hurt Zen-O is a bit of a mystery, because I don't there are many willing to play a game of can I kill him before he erases my ass with him.
