I can't say any of these universes have left a strong impression on me. They're all mostly pretty generic and gimmicky characters. If you like that, fine, but I can't honestly say that most of them are particularly well-written or investing enough to care about them.
I mean, it's sad when they get erased, but that feeling moves on quickly, because the show moves on quickly from it.

It should only matter in the instant, otherwise nothing about it matters.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. They should had done a lot of things in this tournament better such as getting to care about the other characters who aren't Universe 7. I really wish that they stuck with the tournament format of old as I really don't feel that the Battle Royale was good the kind of story they were trying to tell and it is difficult to care about any of the characters when they are mostly just fodder for anyone who isn't Universe 7. Not to mention, the some of the jokes really feel out of place considering that they are fighting for their lives. Granted, Dragon Ball was never super serious but it does know when to be serious and when to be silly.

"Mai waifu."The Battle Royal was something different, and I can't blame Toriyama for wanting to shake things up a bit, but yeah, the regular format might have worked better for giving the other universes a bit more characterization.
One Strip! One Strip! The official TOEI Youtube Page uploaded a (slightly) extended NEP
for the special.
- One scene features Jiren quickly dodging and countering SSJ Blue Goku's second kick, who had activated Kaioken x20 at the last minute, with a grappling throwing leading to Goku switching to evasive maneuvers. Interestingly, for me, Jiren is fazed by Goku's first strike to the head temporarily, rather than tanking it like the (grain of salt) early descriptions made it out to be.
- Base Goku throws the Spirit Bomb at Jiren, featuring an overhead shot demonstrating how massive it is within the Tournament Arena (guesstimating about 1/5 of the floor space). After a close-up shot of a stoic Jiren turns into a scowl, Goku powers up in SSB Kaioken x20 for more oomph.
- Jiren's shocked by the Spirit Bomb, with another close-up on his reflective eyes, but it cuts to a prophet-eyed SSBKK Goku looking very exasperated as he controls the bomb. The black lighting effects from the last preview are still present.
- The bomb seemingly detonates as it shatters more pieces of the arena and engulfing the place in blinding light, including a silhouetted Goku floating in the middle in his tattered Gi. Ends the same as before, with "Limit Breaker" Goku sternly glaring at the camera.

Alright, so the initial scrimmage doesn't look like it's going to be quite a Curb-Stomp Battle like the description was making it sound.
I wanna see who's idea this was.
I like the idea that Toriyama decided to bring back the Spirit Bomb, and integrate it into his transformations.
I've complained a bit about how technique stopped being important, but I know that's not 100% true.
Full powered Super Saiyan was proof of that.
One Strip! One Strip!@Handsome Rob: Never. (Also, I obviously don't mean it)
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Goku didn't go Super Saiyan until after he'd made the bomb.
Also there's this:
I knew about the stuff with Vegeta's death, but still, it's a little worrying that Toriyama is THAT much of a Contrarian. Subverting things just for the hell of it (even in situations where it might not be the best narrative decision) might not be so much of a good idea.
One Strip! One Strip!

Okay, so I was mostly thinking of Napapa and Methiop, because those are the only ones who left an impression on me. Maybe they were just the assholes of the group, in which case I basically have no strong impression of Universe 10.
