The thing is
, it wasn't at all relevant who sealed him up back then, so he had no reason to be 100% honest (if you truly want to make sense of this).
I just started rewatching the series from the beginning, and I just realized that Bulma's "BULMA" shirt from the Pilaf saga has the same color and text style as Vegeta's "BADMAN" jacket.
Either a coincidence or a Call-Back.

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerHeh. I just watched my second episode of Dragon Ball Abridged.
I still don't know why I'm not watching this more often. It's fucking hilarious.
One Strip! One Strip!Reading through Dragon Ball now.
Christ, these first chapters are delightfully colorful and weird. I read a review awhile back, where the reviewer had an issue with how sloppily built the world was in the original series was, for the sake of random gags, but... hell, If the gags are funny, who am I to complain?

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerI CAN WIN! I FEEL GREAT! I! CAN! DO! THIS!
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.
No you can't.
Anyway, I guess it's time to learn how bad this movie is.
I'm sure I'll still probably enjoy it. I don't really hate DBZ movies, nor do I ask much from it.
Or at least I didn't used to. After coming here, there are things I'd wish had been done.
One Strip! One Strip!I don't think I'll mind the movie, even with the increasingly-Plot Tumor-y Canon Sue known as Bills/Beerus.
I mean, I even enjoyed Bio-Broly.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — Ultimatepheer![]()
I personally loved the movie because it departed from the always super serious we-must-fight-now-for-no-reason style that Dragon Ball Z introduced and tapped into the more wacky, silly, goofy, light-hearted, densely plotted hijinks of Goku and friends that feature fight scene more akin to actual martial arts, that made me fall in love with Dragon Ball in the first place.
I don't really see how Beerus has become Plot Tumor or Canon Sue, the only thing that he was physically involved in that significantly shaped the Dragon Ball Universe was sealing Old Kai in sword. Mind you, if he didn't seal Old Kai in the sword, Old Kai still would have still been around because of the Supreme Kais' insanely long life span.
Actually, when you actually think about it, Beerus technically saved Old Kai's life... and the whole series. Because if Old Kai wasn't sealed in the sword, you can bet your ass he would have been killed or absorbed when Majin Buu went on his original rampage millions of years ago. And if Old Kai wasn't around, then Gohan doesn't get his Ultimate power up, Goku remains dead because Old Kai can't transfer his life in exchange for bringing Goku back from the dead and because Old Kai is dead the Potara earrings don't exist and Goku can't fuse with anyone and then... holy shit... the story would be radically different! Majin Buu would have killed EVERYONE!!

No, he wasn't. Beerus only implied he was gonna destroy Planet Vegeta, because of the shitty buffet King Vegeta gave him, if Frieza didn't as he heard he was going to do before he went into his several year slumber. Besides, Dragon Ball Minus pretty much confirms that destroying Planet Vegeta was always Frieza's own intention and he certainly wasn't ordered by anyone to do it.

When Fox let's Funimation do so.
