That's what I'm expecting, Goku gets incapacitated somehow (maybe the new form has an unexpected downside) and the next few episodes are Jiren going through all the heavy hitters until Goku finally comes back.
The problem with Universe 3 getting erased is that it will lack the emotional gutpunch necessary. We cared about Universe 9 because they were the underdogs. We cared about Universe 10 because of Gowasu and Obuni. We care about Universe 6 and 11 due to how much focus they've gotten. We don't care about Universe 3, so the impact of their erasure won't mean much. And when it comes to destruction on this level, we need to care
Even if the erasure is truly permanent, which I could actually believe, I feel they will spare a decent number of universes. I'm thinking at least Universe 7 because of Plot Armor, Universe 6 because its the most developed other universe, Universe 3 because it would allow more development for a universe that sorely needs it and Universe 2 because I really like the other genre parody and they have a really interesting team. I could see there being 4 exempt universes and 4 tournament universes left, the number reduced to 8 instead of 12 or 18
Yeah, I believe for the ultimate gut punch they will erase Universe 11
Hasn't the NEP shown it beibg launched? So either it fets reflected or he makes another one?
I don't find it likely. It's already been done before, which makes it pretty boring, and the form is called, roughly, "limit surpassing Saiyan" and it visually looks nothing like SSB or KK. I don't see the connection to those things.
You mean absorbing the Spirit Bomb? Cause that was only in the Super Android 13 movie, but it would be cool to see it here.
While it would be interesting to see Goku just take every form and technique he knows and create the ultimate power up from it, I think Saiga is right. At the very least, there's not much of Kaioken in this new attack (while there seems to be at least something of Blue—a tinge of blue in his aura).
I guess this could be considered some kind of super version of Gohan's ultimate power (since it also causes Goku to revert to black hair, but with some Super Saiyan like looks to his hair).

I just assumed that since they were non canon, they wouldn't count and all. Though I suppose we've seen a lot of it.
I'm wondering why Toriyama never tried it himself, but he rarely ever seems to use ideas he didn't come up with himself (such as creating Potara since Toei beat him to the punch with fusion) and when he does use the ideas of others...we get Dragonball Minus.
I think both can work.
For universe 6, I like that the Saiyans are mostly heroic.
I do wish they had tails, but hey, what can you do? They get in the way of pants and all.
One Strip! One Strip! As far as villains, they were generally canon fodder, though.
Elites like Nappa and 'Super" elites like Vegeta were implied to be extremely rare amongst saiyans.
Watch SymphogearI don't mind U 6 Saiyans being more heroic and having a different culture. That culture being anime high school delinquents, though... that's flabbergasting.
DB Super as a whole is shoving pop culture/anime culture into everything.
As for Toriyama not using others' ideas often: I'm not surprised. I think he'd be more interested in coming up with original ideas, it'd be a smaller subset of fans that want to see his take on deriviative ideas.
I can get that. I imagine most dudes prefer to do their own thing rather than crib someone else.
I also think there were some concepts that he could have put his own spin on too, but I suppose it doesn't matter now.

The common thing of making an inhuman culture too human or in this case Japanese that it becomes disconcerting.
I can't tell if its laziness or not.
Well she is being held back from her true potential. She hasn't been raised in an environment that would allow her to truly rise as a warrior.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Caulifla is like the daughter Goku wishes he had. Seriously look at their fight.
Goku looks like a father who finally found the one kid who shares his passion.

I have to say, Freeza maiming that one Yardrat was kind of Narm for me since the show has to be restrained with showing gore since it's now a Saturday Morning series. So it felt like all the grim reactions were to fuck all since there wasn't even any blood.
